I want more games like Wylde Flowers, voice acted, story is enthralling, good gameplay cycle, and you have options to mess around with timing. WF has spoiled me. I have also been obsessed with the Traitors. I can't wait for all of these games.
Completely agree! I feel like My Time At Portia/Sandrock has also put a refreshing spin on the farming and cozy game franchise. These games seem fun, but a majority feel like carbon copies of other games in this genre. I would love more farming games where the passage of time is felt and you see characters age, along with the town growing. It's A Wonderful Life was on to something and I am sad no other games have really picked up on this idea.
Same, Wylde Flowers has ruined me for all other farming sims. Now I am constantly let down at the lack of depth of characters and story in most farming sims
I absolutely LOVE Wylde Flowers. I got it back in July for the Switch, and it's just what I want in a cozy game. It made me cry because I lost my Grandma before Christmas in 2022, and she lived in a home called Fairhaven. So it really hit home for me. I'm currently in Fall of year 1. 🙂❤
I'd love to make a suggestion to help viewers like myself: adding timestamps with the title of each game to the video or just keeping the name of the game on the screen while you discuss it would be great! I typically forget the name of the game mere moments after you share it and this would make it easier to write the name down when I realize I'm interested in the game. Excited for these 2024 releases, especially Ages of Cataria!
I second this! Having the orderly list is nice, but without timestamps it doesn't help to remember, which game was the one that is right up my alley. I used the timestamp list someone put in the comments to do so. It would be lovely to have these informations provided by the original poster and not the community. :)
@@emmelineskeesame! It helps me pick and choose what sounds like things I’d like to play/research, and just overall easier to go back and say “oh! It’s right here!”
Excellent video. Old hippie dude here that grew up fishing, hiking, exploring, remodeling and gardening/farming. Though my favorite video game genres are FPS and Action RPGs since retirement and living in an environment where I don't have access or space for gardening I have come to enjoy cozy games such as Stardew Valley, Coral Island, My Time at Portia and Cozy Grow. One of my new favorites is View Finder that isn't a farming sym but more like a futuristic puzzle/platformer. I recently played the demo of a very intriguing science fiction adventure/mystery where you play as an android child who is tasked with trying to discover why the human colony on the Jupiter moon, Europa has disappeared. It's very relaxing as you explore intact buildings, encounter and mildly interact with farm & forest animals while collecting data left by the former human inhabitants. As far as I know neither one of these two games are slated to be coming to the Switch.
Thanks for the suggestions! One game that I'm really excited for is Brocula, in which you work as a vampire who needs to work a number of part time jobs to pay off a debt he collected during 500 years of being asleep. One of the part time jobs is farming, but there are a number of other ones, including owning a coffee shop. It's an indie game primary made by one person, and I'm very excited for it! 😁 March 27!!
I wrote down at least half of these on my wishlist! Also wanna say that when i am feeling down, i put your playlist of cozy games on shuffle and then just relax with your voice in the background. It really soothes my stress and/or bad feelings. Thankyou for being there for me with your videos when i am having a hard time!!❤❤
Not sure if it counts as a cozy game, but I‘m really looking forward to Bandle Tale. To me it looks cozy, colorful and cute 🥰 Also I can’t wait to play Moonlight Peaks on the Switch ☺️
Cozy Grove is my current fave game, I have been playing it almost every day. It's such a sweet game and am glad that you are kinda forced to take it at a slower pace. You can't rush through things and I am grateful for that because it really encourages to slow down x
I love Snufkin so I'm definitely looking forward to that one!! The Shire game & the vampire game look interesting too, so many games are so BRIGHT when I usually play before sleep, so a night-colored farm-sim sounds like a great idea. For the rest of these, I mostly wanna know how good the character creators are, being able to make myself is a big plus for me. There's a lot to keep our eyes on this year, thanks for the video!
Thank you for much for your videos! I feel like 5-6 years ago I was always running out of games to play and would inevitably go back to my default (Sims2). Now there are SO MANY coming out that my backlog is massive and I don't know when I'll get to all these awesome new ones! LONG LIVE COZY GAMES! 🥳
I’m so excited to see a bunch of very unique cozy games possibly coming! We have been farming simmed out and these you mentioned seem like potential great games!
I backed tavern talk, I was immediately impressed by it as I love Coffee Talk and this feels like a great step in expanding on that style using quests and magic.
Hey, I've been following you for a while now, and decided to join your channel as a Member! Haha not really sure what that does, but I'll figure it out. Anyway, the games I'm looking forward to most are definitely Cozy Grove 2, Moonlight Peaks, and PuffPals Island Skies! I backed that one on KS when it launched, and have since gotten soooo many of their plushies. 😂
If you love more visual novel games, more people really need to give the ace attorney games a go! with the apollo trilogy also hitting tomorrow its never a better time to start. The original triolgy, apollo as well as the chronicles games are all solid experiences on switch!
This video felt like someone was reading off half my steam wishlist 😂 so many great titles that I’m glad you’ve highlighted! cozy indie gamers are eating good this year 💜 also YES I’ve never been so excited for something I’ve known so little about until Tales of the Shire!
As someone who did watch the Moomins kind of religiously as a kid in the 90s, I love seeing them in modern games. The Moomins where a perfect mix of fun, slice of life and a bit scary. I really recommend watching the series.
I nearly lost my mind the first time I saw the teaser for Tales of the Shire! As a LotR nerd, I cannot wait to learn more about this game! I'm also excited for Grave Seasons and Botany Manor. I want a little mystery and puzzle solving in my cozy life.
I'm excited for so many of these games!! 😭 Another one to add to the list is The Garden Path - I've been following it for a few years and played a little demo of it a couple of years ago and it was so cosy!!
For those who are finding this video in the future like myself, Ages of Cataria was delayed until 2025 and Moonlight Peaks is set for late 2026 at the earliest ( PC release )...but they do release demos every now and then on their Discord.
I’m interested in playing Southfield later this year!❤ I’ve already wishlisted it!:) So excited to play all of these cozy games, but I’m looking forward to playing Botany Manor the most!😊❤
Thank you for these game recommendations! I'd also like to suggest Trade Tales to be included in the list. It's a fantastic game that I think would be a great addition.
"I will never understand why adults aren't the ones who can save the world..." I always figured it was because children still have hope that the world can be saved. Most adults just say things like 'It is the way it is, nothing I can do about it.' But I would like to see more games where adults try to fix things.
Looking forward to basically all of these, and Cozy Grove 2? ARE YOU KIDDING YOU JUST MADE MY ENTIRE NIGHT ;_; Not going to lie though, since I got the steamdeck recently and I've been absolutely loving the experience I've wishlisted almost all of these on steam lol! (my switch is still my baby and I cannot wait for the switch 2, but yeah I don't want to wait months for these indie gems when they come out
What a wonderful list! So many games to look forward to. My most anticipated are probably Botany Manor, Fields of Mistria, Fishbowl, Discounty and Moonlight Peaks!
The only thing I didn't see was Fantasy Life. I'm hoping that'll be released this year!! I need to finish playing it on the DS.. I don't remember but have you made any videos on your favorite DS games??
I'm looking forward to Garden Life and Botany Manor for the Switch! I would love to have a proper, decent sized garden...all I can have is some pots on my porch (blessed with that! but I want more!). Puffpals has been on my radar for a while...can't wait! And any time we get a new SoS game! And Tales of the Shire!!! Thanks for making sure we know about all of these!
The upcoming Fantasy Life game for Switch is brimming with cozy potential, with 12 life classes that mean you can find a play style that is right for you. All I want is the preorders to become available so I can snap up this sequel to a beloved 3DS title. I already preordered Garden Life for my Switch, but a cat-themed game that needs more love and recognition is the upcoming Whisker Waters, which has fishing as it's central gameplay mechanic! As a cat mom, I think you'll adore it, Eeowna!
As a coffee talk lover I am super interested in taverntalk and also why have I not seen Tales of Shire anywhere? 😅 Thanks for the Info! Not mentioned in this video but looking forward to "On your Tail" and "Death Trick: Double blind" (both on switch) 😊
I finally tried the coffee talk demo and bought it on sale. I have the sequel in my game pass on xbox one. I was so excited that a cozy grove sequel was coming to mobile through Netflix.
If I could be anything in the world, I'd be an elf! I love that you tried to learn Elvish, that's very cool. Super excited to learn more about that game!!! Trash Goblin on Steam!!!!!!! If you haven't tried the demo I highly recommend it. It was ridiculously fun.
All of these games look so fun. Im most excited for Loftia, but I didnt back it or pre order it yet because I want to wait to see how it runs on the switch. Also by that time we might have a new switch console 🤔
I’m someone who sucks at decorating. I love animal crossing but my island is nothing, I don’t like stardew valley and I have 500 hours on fire emblem 3 houses. I like games where I take care of e people and there’s relationships that develop with an interesting storyline. so I really hope I like these games coming out since some seem to be in that genre! 😂
(Also I'm super excited for Discounty. Not my number one looking forward to for this year because omg Princess Peach Showtime and also Fields of Misteria and LITTLE KITTY BIG CITY OMG OMG OMG, but I'm SO here for Discounty. I think it looks incredibly interesting and fresh. Running a small business is not inherently corrupt or uncozy - I worked at a small craft shop when I was in high school where I was the only employee other than the manager - but absolutely it's the choices you make that matter.)
Why is there no vampire game where I get to do all the fun vampire stuff like bites necks, terrorize villages, and own a huge dank castle that is maintained by hideous freaks?
I have 2 game recommendations (that you can already play) whilst you wait for the awesome games mentioned: 1. Cat Cafe Manager (cutest game I've ever played, HIGHLY recommend it) 2. The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood (really enjoyable story and creative gameplay) Have fun!
Never heard of Sugardew Island before but my interest is piqued! I LOVE shop sims. It’s probably why RF4 shop mechanic and Moonlighter are my favourites 🤩 i’m so happy to see more of these in the genre yay!
Added a new game to my Steam wishlist thanks to this video. =) Already had a few of them wishlisted. The game I'm most looking forward to (thanks to the current Steam Next Fest) is Little-Known Galaxy. I sunk way too many hours into that demo. I really hope it releases this year as no date is listed yet.
There is a new game called "BandleTale" that is coming out on steam the 21st that you might want to check out! Its a crafting RPG based on the universe of League of legends^ might be something you would like since apparently its similar to games like stardew valley and sun haven.
Aww so glad Botany Manor is coming to the Switch because I know that game would not run well on my PC. Definitely getting Fields of Mistria too, only I will get that on Steam.
I rarely back games with a Kickstarter since there’s always a risk they won’t be the best but when I saw Tavern Talk had one I backed it immediately. Looks just up my alley and can’t wait to play it
I don’t think anyone else has mentioned it yet, but Lightyear Frontier is a new cozy-ish game coming to Steam in March… not sure about the Switch though 😅
I LOVE your taste in cozy games so much, but as someone who missed a few years of popular games, I was wondering if you would ever make a list of your top cozy games but not limited to year or console, just overall? I would love to invest my time into a game I know has the quality to give my time value, but I also don't know if I missed any excellent smaller games just because there might not had been enough marketing for them. For reference, my favorite cozy games are Stardew Valley, Minecraft, Forager, Puzzle Quest, and many more, but my favorite genre is management/farming simulation games I'm just sooo picky LOLLL. I put 80 hrs into story of seasons olive town but the end game is soooo grindy and unfun it ended up souring my entire experience :(. (if you already made a video like this suggestion, please let me know so I can watch it! You have a lot of teir list videos but they all seem to be restricted by year or console)
@@Eeowna Thank you! I'm mostly a PC gamer, but I do have a switch and a majority of switch titles cross platform to PC so I will check that out. I'm so sorry for missing that tier list I swear I looked lol!
If you haven't already discovered Crimson Hollow I think it's gonna be totally your cup of tea! Currently in development tho, so no release anytime soon but I'm nevertheless super excited about it!

I loved cosmic wheel of sisterhood so much it’s in my top cozy games ever list I made in dec
You know you're old when you remember the Moomins !! xD Just need a Button Moon game now ...
You are SO right about Story of Seasons franchise. I’ve been so disappointed for while.
so many great games! and most of them were new to me. thank you for this video!
Have you heard of Sunnyside? I’ve been following that game for a couple years now and it seems incredibly ambitious.
Bloom town just sounds REALLY similar to persona 5 royal, but like, in a different setting.
There is a new game called "BandleTale" that is coming out on steam the 21st that you might want to check out! Its a crafting RPG based on the universe of League of legends^ might be something you would like since apparently its similar to games like stardew valley and sun haven.
18:44 so excited for this game ❤love magic games and yes I’ve been watching traitor’s too
Chef rpg gives me potion permit vibes which was a really great game as well
Aww so glad Botany Manor is coming to the Switch because I know that game would not run well on my PC. Definitely getting Fields of Mistria too, only I will get that on Steam.
So many fantastic recommendations!! Thank you for this wonderful video! 🥰
I'm soooo excited for Tales of the Shire, my dream is to go to New Zealand to go to Hobbiton!!
Would love to see these videos with the title of the games a little longer, I keep having to rewind to catch it and write it down
they're all in the description in order :D
I have a vid called top 10 cozy games I cant live without that covers the whole switch lifecycle
@@Eeowna Thank you! I'm mostly a PC gamer, but I do have a switch and a majority of switch titles cross platform to PC so I will check that out. I'm so sorry for missing that tier list I swear I looked lol!
Omg SO EXCITED for moonlight peaks!!
Cozy Grove 2?!!! Omg I wasn’t expecting to hear that but I’m so excited!! I hope it’s a switch game as well 🥰 love your videos!!
So many new games I hadn’t heard of yet. I can’t pick just 1. I need them all. Every. Single. One. 😍
Can’t wait for Camper Van and Tales of the Shire!
Im so excited to find out more about the LOTR. Also not sure if cosy but im excited for life by you. It's basically an advanced version of sims
i love the idea of moonlight peaks!! but i think i’m traumatised by how bad and expensive fae farm was 😂
Fields if mistria is the number 1 game I'm waiting for, it looks incredible!
These all look really cute! Any news on Sticky business coming to switch? I’m dying to play it!
Too many good ones to name! 😅I’ll just have to watch it again.
i was hoping you’d cover Sally. i am dying for an update on this game. when i search, all i find is older stuff, and mentions of “sally face.” ☹️
If you haven't already discovered Crimson Hollow I think it's gonna be totally your cup of tea! Currently in development tho, so no release anytime soon but I'm nevertheless super excited about it!
