Really good video Brandon! Us guitarists are a funny bunch... just look at the Bad Monkey or TS10 for example... that JH was seen with a Mark V probably will make the cork sniffers jump at the V. Or if JHS does a video on it ;-) There really aren't any bad MB Mark amps - they are all incredible in their own way, and the 5 is, IMO, absolutely brilliant. Thanks for putting this together. You definitely deserve more subs!
Much appreciated! Thanks for watching and commenting! Definitely agree on the fact that there's no bad Mark series amps, doing this comparison series has shown me how consistent Boogie has been over the years, which is crazy considering all the different components, transformers, PCB's etc over the years!
Wow! This one surprised me, with good headphones I slightly preferred the first one. I bought a Mark V when they first came out. I honestly anticipated the first one being the 2c+...
Just ordered a V, soooooo relieved to see that the tones are not lazy on it. I just couldn’t justify splurging on an older MB. Thanks brother!!! Any advices or fav items with the V?? 💪😎👍
It sounds great as is, for Metallica tones, get a PEQ for the loop! I made a video about those too, and I even did it with very inexpensive PEQ'S! Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@xounlistedxox …thanks for the reply! Awesome. Maaaaaan, the worlds best kept secret is and EQ in the loop. Didn’t find this out until 2021. Been playing since 1993. Added a MXR10 band to my arsenal, and, every single amp of mine just LOVES it. EQ is super underrated in terms of ‘value per gear dollar’ on tone. Anyhow. Rant over. Lol. I’ll upload my AHFA tones, if I can get any…. …I still worry that I should have gotten a Mark IV.
@reereelization I've been using some form of EQ in loops for many years, but PEQ'S only recently, and they're definitely a different animal! Very much like you said, some of the best bang for your buck gear out there! As for the IV vs V, they're really not that far off, especially the IVB. I wouldn't worry about it
@@xounlistedxox phew. I was just googling for a Mark IV. Bowser closed. …Lambchopper reviewed the PMEQ that used. I should try and grab something parametric. Anyhow, thanks again!!

Yeah, almost all of these were eye opening for me, they're all so close! Thanks for watching and commenting!
