Players can change various game settings such as game difficulty, and also reproduce the atmosphere of arcade display settings at that time. Players can also compete against each other from all over the world with their high scores.

Originally released in October of 1986, Jackal (a.k.a. Top Gunner in North America) is a top down view action driving and shooting game where you are a member of an elite rescue team that's been assigned to a top secret mission to rescue POWs from enemy prison camps.
Your jeep has two weapons. A machine gun which can be used to eliminate common enemies such as soldiers on foot, and a grenade which can destroy stronger enemies quickly.
During your rescue mission, you must break into enemy camps to rescue the POWs by destroying their prison huts. Some of the huts might even have a flashing POW which if picked up, can upgrade your secondary weapon (Grenade ➡️ Missile Launcher ➡️ Missile Launcher with leftmost and rightmost explosions ➡️ Missile Launcher with 4 way explosions that blast in an X like formation). Players should also bear in mind that you can only carry up to 8 POWs at one time. Once the rescue process is done, players must safely take the POWs to a helipad where a helicopter waits to take them home. The more POWs rescued, the bigger the bonus.
Buy-in and Continue wise, Jackal operates in the same way as Life Force in which single player games are single credit affairs, unless a second player joins in. But even if continues are enabled, there will be a limit to how many times a player can continue, and this ability will end once the player reaches the final segment of the mission.
Another Konami Classic. I'm still waiting for Parodius Da on the Arcade Archives.

I played this one on NES a lot, I’ve never played the arcade version.
This is the original one, and what's interesting is that the Japanese version always has the gun aiming wherever the jeep is facing, but in the American and International versions, the gun is always aimed northwards.
And what's funny is that while the American version was original called Top Gunner, the home version on the NES was renamed as Jackal since by the time it was ported, Konami had already released a game that was based on the 1986 movie, Top Gun, which meant that they couldn't use that name anymore.

Combat School is a good one, though they'll need to figure out how to make Boot Camp (the US version) playable since it only came out as a trackball using cabinet in the states.
Strange, I live in Canada and this game isn't available online for my PS5. When I discovered this came out a few days ago, I went online to buy it and it was there but I could only add it to my wishlist. It came out June 27th though. I checked the next day, and it's gone. I see it online via the web for other countries, but not in Canada. Does anyone else notice this? This hasn't happened with any other AA game that I know of.

And I was cautious. Usually, ACA, Konami or Namco, and current events or copyright usually means we Americans aren't even going to see it.
