Definitely "staying on the outter edge of trouble", as Ray Hunt would have said. Always a fine line to push the envelope while staying fair and taking their young age and lack of experience into account. Very cute mare, and great reading on her ;)
Super helpful great video, as usual!! I always look up one of your videos when I want to know the "ideal" way something should go. It doesn't always play out quite as smoothly with my colts, but at least you give me a good standard to work towards! The mare in this video is super cute too! Moves pretty enough to be a pleasure horse, but I'm guessing she went on to do reining?
Hi there, thank you for your content I really enjoy it and learn a lot. I echo the observation that the music is too loud in your videos. I also have a question. I have a 3 yr old that is on the lazy side, I have a lot of trouble getting him to stay in the lope. When i ask he speeds up his trot until i get a bit stern with him and then he will lope but only a few steps and stops. Ive been working in this consistently for the past 4 months and cant figure it out. He just will not keep it going. In the past 4 months only twice have i got him to keep going a bit but man was it more work for me than him. Felt like i had ran a marathon in 30 seconds. Any suggestions? He is clear on the cue, we work on it in the round on the ground and he will pick it up and stay in the lope but with a rider...no way!
Hi. I recently subscribed to your channel. I like your training philosophy and implementation very much. The mare in the vid is a beautiful and a nice mover. I have a request. In this vid the music was very loud and distracting. I noticed in another vid I watched today that the music soundtrack volume was very very low; just slightly audible. It was also distracting cause I kept listening thinking what's that song? Anyway, your vids are great. I wanna hear what you say because I am as I'm sure many others are getting good value from comments. Could you moderate the music soundtrack volume to where it's audible but not overwhelming.
Bless her, she’s lovely, correct leads and all... so smooth xx
Nice job Sir!
You explain things so well
Thank you Leanne
