The little things in life that thrill us, Hot water, a baby's smile. enjoy them all. Now you know you can do it, all other tasks will be completed with the same pride.
Hi Jo Vic William and David enjoyed this video there was ad for Lego Duplo BUILD BIG placed in this had a little giggle I'm in Australia 🙃(upside down face)
I understand the excitement, when we were building our wn home, i'd go to work all excited to tell anyone who'd listen" that we could turn on lights" they thought I was crazy. Well done
I moved into this old house once I had a working bathroom, dishes were done in plastic tubs/bins in the bathtub but I was no longer renting and making house payments on a renovation nightmare, that was a huge big win for me! I understand the huge win of the hot water!
Your guys! We were with you on the edge of our seats as you fired up the webasto. We've been there, we've done that (but our pump had instructions). As new grandparents we were getting just a bit fussy at not having seen Jo & William when, phew, they turned up just in time to pull the vlog around. We started boating in a 16ft yoghurt pot with no on board facilities. We've progressed from the equivalent of camping on water & with each boat we've progressed to the final comfort of a now, fully functioning narrow boat. We're with you during all the highs and lows and gasps of excitement at having hot water.....on tap! We love your video style, and look forward to having a piece of cake and checking out the coffee this season xxx
Brilliant that you got that water running. It was very tense wondering if the pump was going to fire or not. Glad it did. 😄 Jobs like that are always better with two of you. Take care. Nick
You needed to pop the umbrella up over the hatch, not easy job in confined spaces, loved the video extras and that beautiful sky with reflection was amazing, well done. William chomping at the bit to be on the move too, loved his leg warmers Jo.
Well done Vic.. William is Growing So Fast !! As A mom(good few years that mine were babies) I Could still Give Him A Good Munch And Snuggle LOL., You All Look So Happy,You Deserve IT.. You Are A Lovely Couple.Bless All Of You.. Take Care.. Amanda & Chris.. Narrowboat Tina..Walsall
From personal experience keep an eye in winter at the very end of exhaust tube in snow conditions. The snow can stick around opening and block exhaust from exiting pipe . If this happens the unit will not fire when it is in start up mod until this is cleared . The unit will run a self test at each start up the other common defect is the timer itself not set properly . If your away from boat for a longer period of time it can drain weak batterys . We use this type of heaters on heavy equipment on both engines and hydraulic systems in our north and as well on large school busses to reduce idle time to get a warm bus . Really enjoy watching your family journey keep up the great work .
It's horrible that just a simple arrow can would life so easy, mind you once the heaters are going it can be unbearable for other boaters depending on wind direction, bit like bow thrusters at 3am. At least you two were smiling in the rain and not singing. I love seeing the tricks of the chippy trade. Looks like I'm going to miss another UK spring, it's 31C at 10.41 hrs. here no rain for weeks and just had to restock with cooling beer. Thanks for posting and keep safe.
I would hate to see your happiness marred by an injury.Did I see Vic drilling and grinding metal without eye protection.Only takes a second to cause serious injury. All the best to you all.
Smiling away here…. Memories of installing my first (and only) Webasto hot water heater … alongside my first ever central heating install with 4 rads, and the heat exchanger and Calorifier! Took forever to get rid of the air…. Think I had some lock outs, and I too took off the fuel line to see if the fuel was pumping through :) Well done Vic!!
Amazing how small things help on a boat....we all pray daily for hot water lol , great video as usual . Hope to see you out n about again this summer , nb Halcyon
Amazingly weird and varied sounds doing the water. I love your faces too. So glad it really worked out. Quick appearance of Jo and William appreciated He has grown and so cute
i like watching the upgrades, so much effort which is 90% of getting the job done. that sandwhich looks great! I can smell the coffee , lol be well you 4
Bless Vic’s face was pure shock that they had actually done it! Almost like he didn’t believe it. It’s the little wins that make life taste sweeter Especially with Jo’s and of course William’s reactions. Loving the bromance with DJ plenty of man giggles 😆
Great that you've got the pump sorted, but the best bit was seeing William smile, sorry but whatever you do, William will steal the limelight every time.
Wonderful job between the two of you. When you’ve got the right equipment, it can make life easier. I still don’t know how that device heats the water, but maybe you’ll tell me. There’s a lot of satisfaction in doing a job yourselves and making it work. You may have connected the pump the wrong way around, but when I had my new oil combi boiler installed, the qualified engineer doing the job, did exactly the same thing, but it took him half an hour to realise what he’d done. You and Dave should be very proud of you efforts. Lovely video.
Enjoying the videos, doing a bit of a binge on narrowboats at the moment. Little bit of advice from my own experience doing similar fuel lines on old cars that I think would still apply to the boat (more of an issue on cars because petrol can evaporate a bit due to the heat of the engine and I know diesel doesn't evaporate easily) but your loop to prevent vibration is vulnerable to getting an air lock because it's vertical. The loop should horizontal so you don't get a bubble stuck in the top of the loop - the bubble can give you bad fuel flow. Best to think that you always want fuel to be going down if you can get it to so your line would go down then curve around into the loop that's near horizontal but obviously still spiralling down and then go straight again. Keep up the uploads, they are really inspiring.
Yeah!!!! Hot water. Very happy for you. DJ is going to have to somehow be included in your Vlogs even after Holly is finished. He is handy and funny. The expressions on you two were hysterical when the pump sounded like it was ready to explode. Good work! 😊
That sounds like an epic plan to me I will certainly be making some coffee and cake visits as Vic has me addicted to his sublime coffee and Joanna's excellent sweet treats the double choc brownies are to die for!!!!! 😋😋
@@djmarine4499 Looking forward to it. Vic and Joanna are lucky to have such a good friend. After coffee and cake ☕️ 🍰 you can always take William for a walk! Take care 😊
I get excited about hot water straight from the fossette as well. Now I don't feel so weird knowing that you three are out there enjoying the hot water as well. LOL! Stay groovy and stay safe.
Good Job... My Son and I worked on our Hot Water most of the day Sat. Just a 11 inch piece of pipe in about 6 pieced to connect the water heater to the plumbing. Every try we got a leak in a different piece of that thing, So we understand you elation at getting it fixed...I Know it isn't a Narrow boat, the dimentions are are similar but it won't float, it is a Motor Home That I live in, and travel the Highways Of Noth America.
This is edge of the seat stuff and, occasionally, behind the sofa! Well done! You may be a bit amateur at boat fitting, but your videos are so professional.
I kept wondering what a wabasto is, turns out its Webasto - a BRAND NAME for a company that makes sunroofs, air conditioners, electric car charngers and more. The more in this case is an in line hot water heater. Those are a great choice, especially for a narrow boat.
That was terrific. I’ve had boats and houses and it feels SO good when you figure out a project and it actually works. Little changes become big changes as they make your life simpler and better. Congrats and a big Hi to William.
I know what it's like to be without water ..let alone hot water ...so happy for you ! Great job on getting it done ! Sir William is beautifully growing ! Happy Spring ⚘️🌿
You should be proud...great job. Thanks for taking us along. I will admit, I was a bit nervous with the first test run. I know this will be a big help to you. Have a Blessed day.
What a great vlog by a wonderful family. Maureen and I really love watching your progress. Have to work out how to find you some day and have a coffee and a large slice of cake??? Stay safe and well and we will wait patiently for your next oh so professional and interesting vlog.

Hi Jo Vic William and David enjoyed this video there was ad for Lego Duplo BUILD BIG placed in this had a little giggle I'm in Australia 🙃(upside down face)

The look of relief on Vic's face after all the drama was so funny.
