I used to swim there from the late 80's to mid 2000s. I remember the coral being more vivid and colorful. Beautiful spot. Also locally known as 69 beach.

Glad to hear that they are saying its starting to look healthy in the shallower reef at the moment after the devastating bleaching in 2015

Can’t believe how beautiful Hawaii’s waters still are while Australia’s Great Barrier Reef is falling apart. Glad Hawaii is vigilant in monitoring their precious waters.

Once that reef is gone all the world’s reef will suffer catastrophically

@Damien Beri Thank you so much for the important work you do. I can't believe what we've done to our seas. I would love to do what you do and be a part of conserving our coral life. I really hope all the new innovations to regenerate growth prove successful. I know the answer is there. In the meantime trying to teach people to give a damn is ongoing.

I really appreciate how sensitive the life forms in our oceans really are 💎🖤🌖
I hope that more humans open their eyes & hearts to these facts!
