It's great footage and the addition of Hamilton Harty's "The Twelfth of July" is a nice touch. it's interesting to see a Canadian band at the parade. I wonder how common it was back then for bands from over there to come to Scarva?
People dressed classy, went to church and didn't get blocked on the side of the road. Better days. Now these festivals are just an excuse to get wasted.
@desmondhull5778 explain how a dutchman beating an English man in what you perceive to be a foreign jurisdiction, is your culture. If it is, can you explain why it involves the degradation of national emblems and religious symbols of another people. It's like calling new year or guy fawkes night, cultural events. They aren't.
Myth! Irish Republicans have always been chomping at the bit to destroy Northern Ireland. They had border campaigns that pre date the so called 'Troubles'. In fact the wider world needs to wake up to what the so called "Troubles' really were! An attempted Coup by militant Marxist leaning Irish Republicans against Northern Irelands peoples wishes to remain as an integral part of the United Kingdom. Tonnes of Military grade Semtex explosive and heavy weaponry were illegally imported from Col. Gaddafi's lybian regime and stashed in Arms dumps South of the border while the Irish Republic's govt gave safe haven to these same terrorists with a non extradition treaty. The blood lust atrocities committed against Northern Ireland and the wider UK with their bombing/murder campaigns should never be forgotten.
I guarantee you many of the people at this parade had catholic neighbours looking after their farms and cattle for the day!! That deed would be repaid on Catholic religious holidays. That’s how things were.
@nowisthetime6093 it's bigotry to him becauer through his hate vision he sees the Ulster British Identity as no purpose than to divide from his "beautiful" idea of an all gaelic catholic ireland

People don’t get blocked at my Twelfth or 13th parades so you aren’t speaking generally.
It's called celebrating our culture,😊.

If they had shown some sympathy or even handedness with the Catholics in Ulster, none of the troubles would have happened.
