Bro Noah wasn’t lying. Best workout = GOAT performance. I think he’ll go 9.76 this year in the 100 and in the 19.2’s in the 200
That’s close to what I was thinking… around 9.78 and 19.28
Almost there...
@@nilesthony4679 bro how do you not think he’s going to be even pr’ing in the 200
@@aidanbacon6264exactly. The numbers prove he’s very likely to hit a PR in the 200 this season
He will be faster than 9.89 in 100 he ran 9.83 last year and he is faster this year than last.
Seeing Bolt's starting 50m makes me wonder how goated he would've been in the 60. Powell too tbh.
Powell ran 6.44 twice jogging at the end at the 2016 indoor world champs and he was way out of his prime. He's split 6.32 twice and 6.35 several times in his top 100m runs, similar to coleman. Bolt also had very fast 60m splits, 6.31, 6.32 twice, and multiple other 6.3Xs, so it's safe to say if they competed indoors they would've been top 1-2 every time and consistently running 6.3
@@brianong671Bolt having a bad start has always been a fake myth
What was Bolt's 60 m time in his 9.58 race?
@@ancientremains18146.31
@@BLACKSTA361because of his length he looked slow, because he makes fewer but bigger steps.
The difference is : bolt ran 14,35 in a rainy track.
I had the opportunity to witness all these races yesterday. Awesome event! 🔥 🔥
how lucky you are to witness such greatness! Greetings from Czechia. I wish we could watch such talent in our country.
Was it before or after Puff took you shopping 🛍!
Letsile Tebogo just lost his mother to cancer.😔
Really, O wow. Condolences to him.
Rest In Peace to his mother
rip
😮.. that's tragic news.. RIP to her.
I wonder how this will affect his season.
What?! That’s so terrible.
Bolt broke the record on a wet track
Doesn’t matter when you have spikes
@@danw9773 It does. It does alot, actually. Weather plays a big role in sprinting even with spikes.
In pre carbon plate spikes
Plus he had an injury. That’s why he had socks on.
@@danw9773 Was just gonna say that
Noah tied for second all time looking very smooth doing it, improving in every phase of the race and dropping his time from last year by .15 seconds. That is a big improvement. If he can manage to hit close to peak at the Olympics, I agree with others he’s going sub 9.80 and sub 19.30. Simbine also had a nice 100, easy 9.90. It is shaping up to be an epic clash at the Olympics in the 100 and 200!
Not really tied for the 2nd all-time mark at 150 m. Tyson Gay ran 14.41 against a headwind, while Noah ran 14.41 with (legal) wind at his back.
Shoutout to Zarnel Hughes aswell! He did an amazing race and kept up with Lyles.
Lyles may pass Yohan Blake as the second fastest 200M man in history this year. Great athlete in his prime.
Crazy that bolt ran that in a wet track
Bolt was a different breed
cant compare them
@shanky7974 how can you not compare them? They run the same 2 events! 😂
I remember when Blake also ran 9.76 on a wet track
bolt ran most of his records in headwinds, the guy was insanely powerful. A freak. his 9.77 at czech republic 2008 showcased his unrivaled top speed and endurance where at the last 30 meters. he seemed to suddenly pulled away from the pack. 2008 usain bolt was imo the most athletic and most dominant athlete in history.
@@GladwinAbelbolt actually has an average endurance level but you’re right his acceleration and top end is other worldly
The 200 in paris is gonna be the race to watch.
hes always had great top end speed and the strength and stamina to hold that top speed right thru the line but now he has that much faster start and drive phase the potential is there for the 200m WR or very very close to it, the 100m i dont think anyone will touch that for a long while but the 200m? theres 3 or 4 guys really close and if theyre together to push each other then this could be the time for it to fall
Not taking anything at all away from Lyles, he is an absolute beast. BUT, watching Bolt finish is like watching someone take a leisurely jog...so smooth! Lyles was really churning at the end.
That's cauz lyles has great top end speed and can maintain acceleration over long distances whilst bolt reaches top speed early in the race so he decelerates coming to the last 10m,😂 that's not intentional the man gets freaking tired too just like you
Facts
Bolt is 6'6 y'all never mention that while he is the Goat no doubt that makes a very big difference
Bolt was even in a car crash couple weeks before that 150m race
Well he finished slower than Noah, though.
I absolutely love your race breakdowns. I'm tuned into track and field now bc of your channel
It's interesting that his 150m PB improved by 0.15 over last year and his opening 100m improved by 0.16. If he can do the same in the 200m, that would put him below Bolt's WR. Given his indoor season as well, everything points to a significant improvement in his starting ability and likelwise, if he can knock 0.15 off his 100m PB, it would put him in the 9.6's. I just hope conditions are good in Paris.
Improved his 100m by 0.16s?
Don't forget Bolt ran in rain and was only cruising, but Lyles is on fire
Way to go Noah that was just incredible you found another gear few ever see. I didn't know how fast that last 20 meters was I just knew it looked unreal .
He can get close I don’t think he’ll break the record, but he’ll get close and if he does omg
Man everyone who ever competed should feel elated and blessed to witness history the races participation and crazy tweets make this a great prelude to Something that’s very special it’s like watching superheroes of track and field come together and let’s not forget no bad press of drugs and performance enhancement just Alotta hard work and determination to come back from setbacks.I truly am ENJOYING THA SHO!
tbf, Bolt was on a cold, wet manchester track and was coming bck from injury - it was a warmup race. Guy probably could've done a a14.2 if he was in shape
Note before that 150m race bolt was just returning from injury just to show how scary bolt is.
lets gooo new videooooooooooooo
On what program or service can I watch the Paris Olympics live (free or paid) in which I could screen record a race in high definition?
Lyles final 100m is 8.71 v Usain 8.70
Rounding error with the 50-100m split.
It says 4.29 but it was likely 4.28x something.
@@MaxHumphreysMaxHumphreysyes they round up but the same can be said for Bolt

14.41 is my 100 pr. I started track at the beggining of last month.
Youd figure the lanes would be straight with this kind of talent showing up
Ahahaha word
I’m excited to see what happens next with Lyles!
Bolt managed his 150m world record on a miserable day in Manchester (yeah, that’s a typical summer day in Manchester!) Lyles had to contend with the lovely & warm conditions in GA.
Wow now I'm impressed with lyles
amazing to watch - will be interesting to see - but I would be surprised if anyone gets any of Usains records for a while
Why is the track crooked 😊? damn it.
I saw that too 😅
Saw Lyles tweet and was wishing he’d move in silence a bit more cause too many people wanna see him fall and it sucks to me,but damn glad he just backs himself up,track needs this fire 🔥 and the most impressing thing about lyles is his form cause it just doesn’t break whereas his brothas struggled at the 100m mark
Regardless of the times, look what Noah (and this goated channel)are doing for the sport. This video has 145k views as I’m watching it, a day after it’s release
19.26 if the weather is right!! But noboby is getting to Bolt no time soon. Probably will stand for another 20 years
Naw g not 20 maybe another year if not falling this year everybody is exploding with speed pay attention yes bolt laid it down but remember he ran 19.31 just last year and is on a higher high this year atleast admit he will go faster than 19.3 or who ever runs that perfect race when it matters.
LT can do it.
9.58 is not going anywhere anytime soon but 19.19 is in jeopardy
9.58 will prob stand for another 60-70 years but his 200 prob in the next 20-30 year
@@ThinkStoicPersona I was mainly speaking of the 200, but the 100 will last for a looong time!
You are in love with NL. It’s ok. He seems to be ready
Bro ran the 2nd fastest 150m ever what does that have to do with being in love he made history
Congrats on your nonsense statement
Been watching Lyles …. Both of them!!!
Getting to somewhere in 19.2s looks a distinct likelihood.
200 is different than 100. A slight improvement in 100 is going from 9.83 to 9.77 , but in 200 that would be going from 19.31 to 19.18. Remember bolt didn't run 19.2 at all. He went from 19.3 to 19.19
@@stephentrader9142His 19.30s was into a -0.9m/s headwind... 19.2s low easily under neutral wind. RT was also much slower in his 19.30s.
@stephentrader9142 and Johnson went 19.66 to 19.313
@@stephentrader9142 It is a possibility, But also in 2023 Noah said about WR and he didn't even touch it. Bolt himself had said that his 200 m WR is more vulnerable than his 100 m WR.
@@user-pl5pw5iy5s I know Bolt went from 19.67 to 19.30 jumps like that in 200 aren't unheard of
Those track lane lines are a bit wonky.
Extremely impressive.
Lets go Noah!!!
What makes him dangerous is he can hold top speed for a long time. As a high schooler in Penn Relays 4x4, I witnessed him bringing his team from 7th to 2nd. Running anchor for Jamaican powerhouse Calabar was World U-20 champion, C Joseph. Kyle's almost caught him. Lost in Noah Lyle's ascension is his brother, Josephus. He's steadily coming into his own.
He’s def going 9.7 for the 100. That 200 is definitely in trouble
Unreal
hes gonna run 9.74 and 19.28
Yeah. I don't know. I don't like saying never, but no one has even gotten within a tenth of that 100m record. The 200m has only 1 person within a tenth, and that was over 10 years ago. Usain did it though, broke 19.2 from the 19.3s without ever touching it. Maybe Lyles drinks an extra strong coffee in Paris and breaks the record.
When Noah starts well, you know it's over for the competition.
Bolt has probably one of the least favorable endurance levels for a sprinter of his caliber. He could’ve had 19.09 or better if he had the endurance level of his competitors but I guess that was the trade off for incredible acceleration and top end speed
Hmm.. not really. Bolt was a 400m athlete during his junior years. His endurance capacity was there. I think many forget that if Lyle’s first 100m gets faster, there could be slight deceleration in his last 100m. Some times there’s a trade off
Now yall are gonna start calling bolt slow just to make it seem like he wasn’t trying 😂
He ran the 19.19 in −0.3 head wind, running in +2.0 tail wind gives you a sub 19 run.
@@eshawn____2373 there’s a reason bolt switched over to the 100m and moved away from the 400m. Running the 400m requires a higher endurance level than what bolt wasn’t able to dish out. Bolt at his prime (2008-2009) would not able to go below 44 seconds .
@@tamasbrenyo1348 no tail wind will remove 0.2 seconds so yohan Blake is the fastest man then bc with 2.0 wind he would be 9.49
Tebogo would do well in a 150 too.. crazy finisher too.
Noahs back end speed is what makes him special. While other runners decreasing in speed towards the end, he's increasing.
Can we focus a little on Lyle’s breaking Yohan Blake’s 19.26 first?
Yeah I've been telling this for a year
You guys say this like it's valid. It's a silly attempt at gatekeeping a record you don't even own.
Bro... who painted those white lane lines??... 🤣💯🤔🙀 ... they are zigzag...😂
what seeing those splits tells me is that noah might still need to work on his start. usain’s opening 50 is 5.65 compared to lyle’s opening 50 of 5.71 even though bolt is 6 inches taller and probably a decent bit heavier because of it. in theory that means lyles should start faster than bolt since he has less mass to get moving.
At just 26 Noah has a few years in his late 20's to peak...if progressions of 0.05 a year improvements in the 200m occur, and say 0.03 each year in the 150 for ages 26-28 we could see WORLD RECORDS of 19.16 for 200m and 14.32 for 150m. At some point Lyles himself mentioned that 19.1 is his goal (obviously thinking it is possible), and the "slow start" Yohan Blake 19.26 200m with a Glacial 0.276 Start Reaction Time is more or less "PROOF" of that as 0.16 quicker off the mark yields 19.10 RUNNING TIME had Blake gotten a super quick 0.116 second reaction time for his START! How could LYLES do this? Improve the initial 100 to 9.9 seconds to maybe drop 0.1 off both the 150m and 200m!
For these exhibition races Bolt just cruises to victory unlike Lyles going full outin an attempt to prove he is world record capable.
Bull shit he was running all out...if Noah breaks the 200m record then you guys will say bolt was jogging to his 19.19
@@bluesmoke2 bolt is the bets of all time. Lyles is an embarrassing comparison. The closest athlete to bolt will always be Yohan Blake
@@ThinkStoicPersona Those two there stories has been written, Noah is writing his, so we'll see
😂 they run faster while cruising
Go Josephus!!❤❤❤❤
I 100% bet the bank Lyles is going to beat the 200 meter record. That 100 meter record is godly.
But Noah is perfectly intouch with his mind, body and soul. It showed in Atlanta, plus he believes in himself. Ppl don't get it, but a lot of this is brain power too, yes you need to be gifted athlete but to go above and beyond the rest and stay consistent there's ways athletes have found to do that. Sports therapy is huge, like talking to someone but in a athletes mindset to be successful.
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he drops a 19.10.
Why does TRP carry on talking about 9.16s for Lyles when it was 9.24s? Seiko splits are not accurate...
The fact that Noah Lyles is even being considered to break either of Usain Bolt’s 100 or 200 records at this year’s Summer Olympics in Paris is extraordinarily high praise.
Those two records are both mind boggling. Noah Lyles is phenomenal.
All up on Lyles🥜😂… it’s a straight line.. he ain’t touching Bolts times or WR
Bolt ran the 150 in a straight line
🤡
@@adrianbento3298Yeah exactly they both ran on a straight line lol
We'll see
Will be back to give a big laugh and ask how you feeling when he does bro😂😂😂😂
Go Noah!!!!!
5:45 who has the first fastest closing 100m in the 200m? I'm thinking its Yohan Blake
0:45 that track looks really straight
I think he is going to do what he says he is going to do‼️‼️‼️💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫💫
That Manchester run was on par with senna’s lap of the gods frankly. I hate for Noah the constant reminder of Bolt’s performance considering we don’t really know Noah’s peak yet and he’s only just really begun to massively improve his starts. but we know for a fact that was usain’s peak hands down. He tended to drop monster times on wet tracks but if I’m not mistaken he wore socks too.
Bolts watermark in the 100m is a done deal. It will never be touched as world class athletes can make more money in other sports globally. There’s a human out there who can beat it but they are likely not running track full time. BUT, this 150m shows IMO Noah has a shot at the 200m which is the 1st time I’ve thought bolts 200m unsafe thus far even when Yohan was peaking. On the right day, in the right lane, in the right field with that kinda start? I actually think he can dip under. Keep in mind that was one of bolts greatest starts he ever had in his entire 200m career. He ate the first stagger before drive phase ended and had one of the greatest turn runners in modern 200m history on his outside to rabbit in Shawn Crawford. It was legit the most ideal scenario.
Noah’s 5.72 is better as he doesn’t tend to record those low marks in 50m splits but he needs to own that and really get serious about dropping his opening 50m. I’d love to know his 50m in his PB but it’s not official. He ran 5.72 in his opening 50m in Zurich 2022 for his 200m. In all bolts opening 50m in his 200m he’s much quicker but it’s where bolt was vulnerable given his leg dimensions. Walter Dix took advantage of this at times but bolt was 5.6 in Berlin, 5.63 in Beijing, 5.62 in London. Gatlin beat bolt in semis in Beijing 15 beating him off the line with a 5.62. Noah closes very well but I keep getting this feelings he’s afraid to lose knee drive late leaving too much in the marbles. He’s never really gone lower than 5.7 in a championship opening 50m. I think he can get the record with good circumstances. But it’ll require he get out of the damn blocks. I want to see him do it. And I think he actually can. If he can start like Michael normal who put out 5.6’s in the first 50 and trust his legs, I think Noah really could surprise himself in Paris.
Remember Bolt ran on a wettrack which make a big difference.
bolt wasnt even trying too hard
You're supposed to run relaxed dummy
That's when you run your fastest, bro...
😐
Keep being delusional
Watch bolts races again dummy. Everyone one works too hard for big results
0.12sec is not a small margin in sprinting. That's what he needs to equal bolts record in 200m
That surface is suspect tho
does it count if its no curve
Thus begs the question: Does anyone know Noah's top speed?
3:19 said 50-100 twice

Noah is going to get crazy close, but not quite. I feel like he should Legit pass Blake.
Predictions (assuming all goes right).
100 - 9.70
200 - 19.22
If Usain is the king of sprints, I expect Noah to cement his place as the Grand Duke.
Sir Noel is ready to fly and Bolt 150 and 200 record is living on overtime .
If Bro .Tebego continue to improve than Noel would have someone to push him to 18.98 in paris.
Bolt 100 is safe for now and i will be surprise if that get broken any time soon however a host of young sprinters emerging and with so much technology happening someone might just shock the track and field world and break the 100 record.
It's all good to say you're gonna break the record until you face the rounds in paris, then you realize Bolt was in a different league when he was jogging in them.
4.29+4.42 is 8.71 not "exactly" 8.70, unless I'm missing something
For bolt to take the first 100m in 9.92 and then made the last 100 to be 9.27 is criminal and will never ever be produce again.
Not sure why you're double splitting 150m
I'm feeling 9.74 and 19.23 for him this year
Um, my basic math addition skills tell me that Lyles did NOT match Bolt in the final 100 meters as the maker of the video claims. 4.29 + 4.42 does NOT = Bolt's time of 8.70. In case anyone needs help with that, it's 8.71. Close! But no cigar! :)
Low 9.7s and low 19.2s seem easily achievable
Looks like Tracey pulled his hamstring somewhere around 120m.
Yeah I was looking for this comment. Something clearly went in his legs. Hope he's okay.
I think if Lyls had lived in the time of Bolt, Bolt would have set a record in 200m under 19:00 also 150m under 14:30
I’m noticing your boy Matthew Bolling didn’t even get an invitation to this meet. And this is after all your videos telling us he was going to be “so great.”
He will get the second faster 200m ever for the end of the season.
Maybe next year the WR as well for the 150.
I'd love to see Marcell Jakobs in the 150m race as well
Jacobs is a joke. Kerley level fail for years
What’s scary is this man’s first 100 was terrible at 10.15 just imagine if he splits 9.99 with a closing of 9.2 that’s…. Oh shit 19.19 and we all know he can split under 10 seconds and close at 9.2
Bolt did it on a wet track and ran against the clock while lyles had to work mid race
He ain’t braking no bolts records stop dreaming 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
idk that track seems a little suspect. since its off the ground there has to be some sort of 'spring' to it, even if its miniscule, all these random WR's and personal bests while not being on actual ground, kinda makes u think
What's going on with Julien Alfred? Is she injured?
Is that a normal track? It looks like it's sitting on top of lego blocks.
Wait wait !? Were they really running on a bouncy platform track !? That shouldn't get ratified by world athletics
