This storytelling is amazing!! I love how you drew the backgrounds and Monk and Survivor's relationship. I feel like the fandom gives Monk too much shit when they didn't even do anything 😭 they literally jumped into a whirlpool despite their lack of physical strength after their sibling when they were a pup!! They deserve more respect and so does this PMV.
@@umwhatdoiputherehate to be the "Well actually" guy, but... in the canon story, it's likely that Survivor fell as a pup and stayed in the area behind spawn until he grew up. Monk didn't jump after him immediately, he stayed with their family. It was already after they both grew up, and the scug colony migrated that Monk decided to go back for Survivor. That's why there's only slugpups in Survivor, Hunter, and Gourmand. The scug colony is still in OE at that time

When I first joined the fandom over a year ago, everyone was always talking about how cool Survivor was or how badass Hunter was and they always bullied Monk but I liked Monk because of their story. Also banana slug

Going into this I honestly wasn't sure what to expect but I am soooo pleasantly surprised ^^ amazing work! Also Monk is so overlooked cause of surviver it's good to see a AMV that actually focuses on them in any degree!!
your composition is so pretty! something really just hits me about those 2 last panels transitioning at 1:22 is so beautiful, monk looking up and then the screen changing to moon, illuminated in the light and higher compositionally, creates a sense of upward liftment that is so powerful to me. tysm for creating!
I like Monk because more than seeming like the dumb, incapable little sibling, they seem wiser despite being younger, they know their limits and that they aren't too good at fighting, but by staying in good terms with the wildlife, there's no need to fight since they won't be attacked. They also seem very brave, after all they were the only one ballsy enough to jump after their sibling, with no guarantee that either of them would even survive. They had no idea if Survivor had made it out alive yet they never gave up in their search for their sibling, I think that is admirable Monk is not a cowardly little kid, the fandom has been reading them all wrong Edit: AND !! They also took time out of their search for their sibling to bring Moon some neurons, despite not knowing this random blue lady they saw someone in need and knew they needed to help. Monk is probably one of the most selfless and honorable scugs next to Hunter (I would say Saint too but we don't really know what their deal is and I don't wanna jump to conclusions)

im so so sorry, i definetly rushed the subtitles and should've been more mindful D: i keep subtitles on myself since i find it hard to make out what people r saying (especially in songs) and wish subtitles were added more often in pmvs/amvs for that reason. when i can, i'll update the subtitles and i'll keep this in mind for future, thank you so much for telling me!!

I rely on subtitles most of the time due to hearing issues, so more often than not it's much worse to discover that a video has subtitles, but they're more for aesthetics purposes, and there's no other options like auto-generated ones (Btw, no negativity towards you, everything else done is awesome!)

There is an alternative ending to Monk and Survivors story. I don't want to spoil it but if you ask I will tell you.
step 1. downpour dlc
step 2. gourmand
step 3. head back to gourm's ending region as the two siblings, do surv first
