Great information!! As many times as I’ve watch SRV I just can’t believe the sounds he gets from his guitar! You video has at least given me some insight into how I might be able to get something like SRV!!
I've heard the same technique been referred to as "raking". And it sure gives all that extra strength into a bend, or when playing those fast and funky double stop licks that SRV did. It's a great technique for mixing lead and rhythm seamlessly.
