I bought a 64 SS for 3500 over 30 years ago. Traded even for another that was an automatic. Then I bought a second one for 3000. It already had new paint and interior. absolutely the only thing I did was put wires and hydraulics on it and I could get batteries for 20 bucks all day long. those days are truly gone
