We all know that this is their debut song and they wanted to spread this meaning to everyone.. Don't fall behind just because their concept is vampire.. You see several of them turning into vampires in the MV as they become immortal, while one of them burns in the sunlight as he tries to feel mortal. Pretty interesting storyline imo. You’re right about them being good at dancing. Bighit has put together an insane group for this one, their performance talent is no joke. The youngest just turned 15 today (happy birthday Ni-ki!) and taught dance workshops back in Japan before he came to Korea as a trainee. He was also a backup dancer for Shinee at age 10. This totally gives off The Promised Neverland vibes (manga/anime). The Promised Neverland is a story that follows a group of orphaned children in their escape plan from an orphanage after they realize a dark secret -they are being cultivated as food. Except here they are cultivated as vampires/kpop idols instead of "food". You could say that the orphanage is the I-Land survival show this group was formed from, where out of 23 contestants only 7 made it. The video shows them being "made" into vampires w/ pills, and getting their fangs checked, while on I-Land they were "made" into idols. If you've seen both The Promised Neverland & I-Land, this concept is metaphorically quite brilliant. A person name LR in another comments section said, “the song talks about the metamorphosis they had to go through in order to debut, how their crowns are stained with blood (the contestants who didn't make it), and also questions whether their spot/crown was "given" to them by the show/fans or they "took" it by their hard work.”
This is an incredible group of talented young people. They are the survivors of a reality show called I-land. Each has multi talents. Watch their MAMA stage to see Sunghoon ice skating into. Jay speaks 3 languages English, Japanese, and Korean. Jake also speaks English as he is from Australia. Niki is one of the best dancers and also the youngest. Jungwon is the youngest leader of a pop group. You should also watch the dance version of all their songs as the dancing is so tight and amazing.
