@ernieball3645 With the greatest respect I have been playing guitar for 40 years and I read music, play all kinds of music and can improvise as good as the best. But there is a vast difference between a musician and a showman. Santana is a great showman but can only play what he has parrotted and then throws in all the improvisation as you say I call it rifts you make as you go along withing the scale pattern. I do know what I'm talking about and even Santana off the record would agree. ok?
