But if your english is not flawless as a videomaker, I think it's better to take a little more time. I rewinded the first part 5 times and I still don't know what meter he means. A good way to preview kicks in context of the track (or any samples like hats etc) is just put them all in a drum rack with a looped 4/4 pattern in the midi clip and use the up/down cursor keys to pitch up/down the notes s so you can audition the entire sample pack all to find one that fits..... I did this today using your smooth kick pack. Man that saved me so much time. I must have spent about 4 hours trying to tune a rumble kick made from a bad kick and I just couldn't get it right, neither the kick or the rumble were responding to the tuner at all. Was absolutely doing my head in. Now it sounds better than ever! Thanks a lot dude. Love your videos!

I would like to add one beginner mistake (it was for me at least). Doing sound design in the middle of writing a track and then getting lost in it. Now i always try to make sounddesign a separate process. So that when i make a new track i have lots of my own stuff to use. But i tend to treat it the same way as presets and not get to precious about my own sounds.
I record takes, put them privately on SoundCloud and listen to them a day later on my computer, phone, any device that can play it, really. The fact you're hearing a track away from the DAW interface helps to hear what is wrong or identify quickly what needs changing.
The best mistake of that list is that I didn't find your channel earlier lol. Stuck on intermediate level for a while now, thanks to you, I'm stepping up my game. Tysm for the effort and for being selfless sharing all that knowledge with us. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Super cool! It's really normal for orchestral composers to use two reverbs, one digital, one an impulse response, to get the same effect to put all the instruments in the same space. Didn't realize it happens in electronic music too.

And maybe the longer drum reverb? Or is it only the sustained instruments themselves? I’d love to see more videos on the topic of creating cohesive spaces as well by the way.

As for nr 12 or for frequency peaks in general try the spectrum grab mode in Pro Q 3 if you haven't. Just hover your mouse in the lower part of the EQ. But you're right always listen over looking when it comes to mixing. Assuming you're not ear fatigued after listen to the mix for too long (it'll numb you to harsh frequencies) always go for first impression mixing decisions. Take breaks. not using compressors, only in the mastering chain. wow. gotta try that. so different from what you hear everywhere

Make a video on sidechainn, like how to seperate kick from redt of the elements, and what are the pther ways to do it
Sidechain the kick to the bass and then use a fast compressor or Trackspacer listening to the sidechain. Done!
