Martys note choice bending,pharasing,virbato,what is created is stellar! he held his own with Jason Becker. and Dave mustaine made him a badass rhythm player! my favorite and never outclassed by any guitar player!!!!!
I always knew Marty was a big Uli Roth fan. That "crying" vibrato and quarter note bends are something Uli pioneered, if you will, back in the day. Like Marty, Uli had a significant Eastern musical favor to his playing.
I always wondered how marty was muting. He actually has to roll his wrist back cuz of his unique picking positioning with his hand. That takes a lot of skill n a change in technique as far as the "norm" would be considered. Just shows his talent. Love marty
you know char is great and he looks like a cool guy too but i think its not fair for anyone to improvise solos with marty cause everyone sounds so ordinary next to friedman lol anyway this was great to hear...... man marty if just so different to any other guitarist out there this guy is a genius its like hes got an extra 7 notes on top of the normal 7 lol
