Taos population is 6400 in 2023. Tourism and millionaire second homes make it seem bigger. Median income per household is $40,000 but the median property price is $699,000, with high crime which may give you an idea why people are grumpy. It is worth experiencing the night life in Taos which can be really fun. The Millicent Roger’s Museum is worth a visit as well as the Taos Pueblo.

According to google weather, on average in the sumer Taos averages 85 degrees during the day-time and 45-55 degrees at night. Is that so? If it is, that is perfect weather!!

About the bike thing, you want to talk fun. Try driving around Lake Placid, NY in the 2 months, or 3 months, leading up to the Lake Placid Ironman. Now that's fun.

Usually a bicycle has the same right to be on the road as any vehicle. They have to obey the same laws though. If they can't, then they can be ticketed for failing to do so. i.e. maintaining minimum speed limits, if posted. Yes, they can be an irritating pain in the posterior to automobile drivers. I will say that riding a bicycle on some roads, even if legal, borders on suicidal. They have the right, but they may turn out to be dead right, in the end.
The canyon is amazing. Sad that there is a crisis call box there, but at least it IS there for people who need it.

I live in So Cal. The "End 35 MPH" sign means that if you're on a two lane road, you may begin driving 55 MPH; if you're on a divided highway, usually you can drive 65 MPH, unless otherwise posted. 😀 I really enjoy your driving tours! Oh, and yes, the signs are white...and of course, I stopped the video and posted this before your conversation was over!😆🤣😂

Have you driven the Enchanted Circle it includes Taos,Questa, Red River Eagle Nest and Angel Fire? Beautiful drive, about 84 miles a great day trip. I think you have been driving parts of it in bits and pieces but not the full circle.

A bicycle when operated on a roadway is supposed to obey the same traffic laws as other vehicles. And they have the same rights to be on the roadway as any other vehicle does. The issue is is that people on both sides do not know.

Bicycles have as much right to the full lane as any other vehicle. There is no such thing as impeding traffic for bicycles.

Hmmm, born and raised in Taos and I thought your vlog had a bit of complaining about Taos and its people. The truth is that locals get tired of visitors that feel entitled. So, my question is why keep visiting if it"s not up to your standards?

True it is not my favorite places and I tend to avoid going due to several negative experiences there. Very rare for me in New Mexico. I am sure it would be very different if I spent more time there.
