Where is evidence of Adi Sankara attacking Sambandhar? Which work and which passage? If Sankara was so much against Linda worship why did he instal the famous Sri Chakra at Shiva temple at Thiruvanaikka? Don’t trust. There is no evidence of Sankara ever attacking Sambandhar. And Periya Puranam gives no evidence of Sambandhar attacking Vedic faith. In fact, he meets his priestly father in middle of his journeys, stays with him for sometime and when his father wants to accompany him, he requests him to stay back and continue with his rituals. Such was Sambandhar’s faith in Vedic practices.

Mr PK tells many incorrect things, being confident that no one will cross check what he says.
In fact ,Shankaracharya is called the founder of six schools of worship-viz.,Shaiva, vaishnava, shaakta, skanda, soura,and gaanapatya. Shankarachary's pictures show him having "vibhooti marks" on his forehead. It is mischievous to say that he was against the worship of linga. In order to get cheap publicity, he stoops to the level of insulting great personalities. Not only Sambandhar, but Sundarar was also a brahmin. Manickavasagar also belonged to a class of priests. When PK abuses brahmins, he also abuses these personalities. They belong to an era between 7th and 9th century. The word Dravida was not well known in those days. Then where is the question of Dravida movement drawing them into its fold? It was Robert Caldwell,-whom MrPK seems to admire- who made this word more famous. His aim to convert Tamilians to Christianity was greater than promoting Tamil. He also coined words like "Brahminical Aryans" in order to divide people into Aryans and Tamils. Mr PK seems to be continuing to do the job of his British masters -"divide and rule"- in order to be politically alive, at the cost of intellectual honesty and integrity.

This guy is sprouting sheer nonsense. If Shaivism is non Vedic why are famous Rudram Chamakam chant part of Vedas? Why does Periya Puranam one of the most revered and ancient Saivate works speak of Shiva as Vedic God? These people will quote the British Aryan Invasion Theory but will not dare to look for evidence in Indian works because it simply does not exist! Time to call the bluff of these frauds.
