this is true. both countries' governments can focus on bettering opportunities to make the slums and overcongestion a thing of the past. it requires strong political will due to unfortunate corrupt practices which maintain the slum areas at local government and mayoral levels. i hope both countries can implement strict reforms and forced rehousing programmes of illegal squatter communities. similar programmes were done in thailand, malaysia and vietnam and have great results. sometimes too much freedom isn't a good thing. discipline and rule of law will help ensure general development level rises to that of a fully developed country. i think both PH and ID can achieve this in future. in future both countries will likely resemble the cleanliness, high development and high salaries of Japan and South Korea.
