कुआलालम्पुर में हमने दो दिन बिताये ,उसमें एक दिन हम genting highlands चले गए और दूसरे दिन हमने सिटी टूर का प्लान किया। इसी रात को हमारी बैंकॉक की फ्लाइट भी थी और हमे वापस थाईलैंड जाना था। कुआलालम्पुर का नाम सुनते ही सबसे पहले जो चीज लोगों के दिमाग में आती हैं वह है भगवान मुरुगन (कार्तिकेय ) की विशाल मूर्ति।इसके अलावा यहाँ हैं कुछ मॉल्स ,पार्क ,स्कायस्क्रेप्पेर्स आदि। यहाँ के जो मुख्य अट्रैक्शन हैं वे कुछ इस प्रकार हैं -
1. Batu caves : यहाँ कार्तिकेय भगवान की विशाल स्वर्ण रंग की मूर्ति हैं उसी के साथ एक पहाड़ी में लाइमस्टोन की गुफाएं हैं। मलेशिया में तमिल हिन्दू लोग काफी बसे हुए हैं ,1891 में ऐसे ही एक तमिल हिन्दू व्यापारी ने गुफा में कार्तिकेय मंदिर का निर्माण करवाया। यहाँ हर साल मेला भी भरता हैं जिसमें स्थानीय हिन्दू लोग पैदल यात्रा करके आते हैं। मंदिर तक पहुचने के लिए आपको 272 सीढियाँ चढ़नी पड़ती हैं। यह बहुत ही खूबसूरत और अद्भुद मंदिर हैं।
2. ट्विन टावर :यह दुनिया की सबसे ऊँची जुड़वाँ बिल्डिंग्स हैं। 1483 फ़ीट की ऊंचाई और 88 मंजिल लिए इन इमारतों को पेट्रोनस टावर भी कहा जाता हैं। दोनों टावर्स को 41वीं और 42वीं मंजिल पर एक स्काई ब्रिज के माध्यम से जोड़ा गया है, जो पर्यटकों के लिए एक मुख्य आकर्षण है।इसमें 86वी मंजिल पर ऑब्सेर्वेशन डेक हैं जहाँ से पुरे शहर का 360डिग्री व्यू दिखाई देता हैं। इसी टावर में मॉल ,शॉपिंग सेंटर ,फ़ूड कोर्ट ,कई व्यावसायिक कार्यालय अदि कुछ हैं।
3. KLCC पार्क : ट्विन टावर के पास में ही यह पार्क मौजूद हैं जो एक खूबसूरत बगीचा हैं जिसमें से ट्विन टावर का शानदार रूप दिखाई देता हैं। यहाँ फॉउन्टेंस हैं ,झील हैं ,पैदल ट्रेक बना हुआ हैं।
4. बुकीत बिन्तांग : यह एरिया शॉपिंग ,लोकल फ़ूड और रात को घूमने के लिए शानदार हैं। आप रुकने के लिए इसी एरिया में होटल लेंगे तो बेस्ट हैं।
5. कुआलालंपुर टावर : यह कुआलालम्पुर के कई एरिया से नजर आता एक शानदार वाच टावर हैं। यहाँ लोग सूर्यास्त देखने पहुंचते हैं। ऊपर स्थित रिवॉल्विंग रेस्तरां में डिनर का विकल्प भी है।
6. मर्डेका118 : आप बुर्ज खलीफा को दुनिया की सबसे ऊँची ईमारत के तौर पर जानते हैं। लेकिन क्या आप जानते हैं दुनिया की दूसरे नंबर की सबसे ऊँची ईमारत कुआलालम्पुर में ही स्तिथ हैं जो शहर के लगभग हर भाग से दिखाई देती हैं। इसकी ऊंचाई 2,227 ft हैं।
शॉपिंग आप petaling स्ट्रीट से करे। टैक्सी के लिए grab app का इस्तेमाल करे। शानदार शाकाहारी इंडियन फ़ूड खाने के लिए KL सेन्ट्रल स्थित Mr Naan & Mrs Idly रेस्टोरेंट में जाए ,जहाँ का पनीर बटर मसाला डोसा तो बहुत ही स्वादिस्ट मिलता हैं। इसके सामने ही बस स्टैंड हैं जहाँ से GENTING HIGHLANDS की सीधी बस भी मिलती है।
We spent two days in Kuala Lumpur. On the first day, we visited Genting Highlands, and on the second day, we planned a city tour. That same night, we had a flight to Bangkok, as we were returning to Thailand. When people hear the name "Kuala Lumpur," the first thing that comes to mind is the towering statue of Lord Murugan (Kartikeya). Besides that, the city is known for its malls, parks, and skyscrapers. The main attractions of the city are:
Batu Caves: This site features a massive golden statue of Lord Kartikeya, along with limestone caves within a hill. Tamil Hindus are a significant community here, and in 1891, a Tamil Hindu merchant built the Kartikeya temple inside the cave. An annual festival is held here, where locals walk to the temple. To reach the temple, you must climb 272 steps. It is a stunning and unique temple.
Twin Towers: These are the tallest twin buildings in the world, standing at 1,483 feet with 88 floors. Also known as the Petronas Towers, they are connected by a sky bridge between the 41st and 42nd floors, a popular attraction for visitors. The 86th floor features an observation deck that offers a 360-degree view of the city. The towers also house malls, shopping centers, food courts, and various offices.
KLCC Park: Located next to the Twin Towers, this beautiful garden offers a spectacular view of the towers. The park features fountains, a lake, and walking tracks, providing a peaceful spot for relaxation.
Bukit Bintang: This area is ideal for shopping, enjoying local food, and exploring at night. It's highly recommended to stay in a hotel in this area for convenience.
Kuala Lumpur Tower: A prominent watchtower visible from many parts of the city. It's famous for sunset views, and there's a revolving restaurant at the top where you can dine.
Merdeka 118: While many people know Burj Khalifa as the tallest building in the world, the second tallest building, standing at 2,227 feet, is located in Kuala Lumpur. It's visible from almost every part of the city.
For shopping, visit Petaling Street, and for taxis, use the Grab app. For delicious vegetarian Indian food, visit Mr. Naan & Mrs. Idly restaurant in KL Sentral, known for its mouth-watering Paneer Butter Masala Dosa. Right across from it is the bus stand where you can catch a direct bus to Genting Highlands.
