I used to spin wool from our Llamas, Sheep, and Rabbits. I KNOW how much work this is to get the wool ready for a project. ;-) As always YOUR work is amazing. I loved the "I will just repeat these steps." I actually Laughed OUT LOUD. I love the Dress.
Goodness yes, I imagine that’s quite a task! So rewarding though!! Haha I love it when Craig finds funny moments like that too 😆 Thanks for watching Marna! 🥰
Omg I was confused at the beginning since the scalp cap was completely smooth so when I saw you did each individual pore??? my god I couldn’t believe it! congratulations
My goodness, and here I thought I was somewhat patient 🤪 It turned out sensationally well. I just discovered your channel, and I've been delving into Blythe customs for the past year or so... coming from an OOAK art doll sculpting background of over a decade...lol, you think I would have tried something new sooner than this 😂 Out of the many channels I've come across, I vibe the most with yours, which says a lot, because I'm SUPER picky with who I watch lol. Thanks for the great videos, you should have WAY more subs than you currently do!
Hehehe, it really was a labour of love, not sure I’ll be doing another like this again 🤣 I do love her hair though ☺️ I really appreciate that, thank you! So glad you’re enjoying my videos 😄
That was definitely a "labor of love" project, but all the hard work you put into it totally paid off... Her new look turned out amazing! It also looks like that fiber will be very versatile in styling it and you prob can put temp coloring in her hair (or make some clip in pieces with the leftovers) to have a little variety. Also her dress looks so darlingly precious!
Oh, Beth, I love the doll wigs! I've been making rerroots in Barbie size for many years although my method is like "chain". You made a great work! Where did you get the bald scalp with flaps?🤩
Thank you Omar! My first reroot (not in a video) was done that way, I think I’ll do one again soon 😆 I got it on its own from AliExpress, I think it was from BlytheHomes 😁
What an effort but totally worth it in the end. I'm trying to remember the name of the technique, but you use roving like you did and sort of sew it onto the scalp and weave it using crochet hooks (I think). I have a custom with that kind of hair and it's just as nice IMO as rooted and seems (could be totally wrong) to be a little less effort.
Thank you Tammy! Yes I did my first ever reroot that way, I might try another again soon 😁 I think it’s neater looking inside the scalp for sure, and nice and secure! 😊
Beautiful job, Beth! I really enjoyed watching this video and can't wait to try it myself. Thank you for sharing all your wonderful creations. I already have llama and alpaca hair very similar to yours. Do you think the scalp already with holes would be a good idea for someone with fibromyalgia?.
Yes! I have seen a lot of listing for the scalps offer them with holes pre-made. I always love how they come out, but it is a lot of work, so definitely take the short cut ;)
I only make re-roots in Barbies and MHs. New look for my sister's old dolls that now are my niece's dolls. My niece like de "vintage" Barbies better than the conteporaneous models. Fun is that she says that the "old" dolls are mother or aunt of the new dolls. 😂
Thank you! I’m afraid I don’t know, as the hair I bought wasn’t the mohair you would normally buy from a shop for rerooting. I have often seen Etsy sellers say how many grams they recommend for different doll types though. It might vary depending on what type/length you’re buying ☺️
Hi! Link is in the description to the lady I bought mine from, but you can look online or check local to you for people selling sheep fleece? It’s a natural product so availability will be a bit unpredictable ☺️

Your reroot is a testament to the amount of patience you have and it paid off Beth, it looks fabulous! 😍💖🥰
Thank you so much Dorie! It was rather a long project 🤣
Oh Beth, I would NEVER have the patience to do this. Mohair is lovely though, one of my favorite for doll hair. You did a great job!
Thanks so much 😊 I recently dyed this scalp to match my own hair (brown/purple) and I love it so much! 💕
Omg I was confused at the beginning since the scalp cap was completely smooth so when I saw you did each individual pore??? my god I couldn’t believe it! congratulations
Thank you so much! 🥰
What a lot of work for you but what an awesome result!!! She is a beautiful doll and such soft looking hair!!! Thank you for showing the process!!
Thank you! It got faster the more comfortable I got with the process, I imagine someone doing them frequently can do it all pretty fast! 😆
She looks Gorgeous in her re root! See you next time. :D
Thank you so much Briana! 😁
@@BethRamsden Yw ^_^
Wow Beth, she came out beautiful. Her hair is amazing, but that is a lot of work. I don't think I will ever try that, but you did an amazing job.
Haha yes it did take me quite a while, but so glad I tried it out! Thanks ^_^
Gorgeous 😃
Thank you! 😄
Wow, Akemi looks fantastic and I love her dress and accessories. 💗

Wow Beth you did an amazing job and you must have the patience of a saint - rooting hair is one of my least favourite tasks 🥰🥰🥰
Hahaha thank you Jay!! I’m not in a hurry to do another, but I do have ideas… 🤣

Oh the cats love wool!! I’m a knitter and my cats are always all up in my yarn 😂
Hehehe! But we love them for it ;)

Is this type of wool soft? It was beautiful, good job and I loved the dress would love to have the pattern 😍
Yes it’s lovely and soft, especially after a wash and conditioner! Thank you! I’ll definitely be sharing it soon 😊

Oh Flavia that’s so sweet I love that they can be handed down to new owners! The vintage Barbies are lovely! 😊
Hey ! I liked! How many grams do I need to make a head? How much mohair to make?
Thank you! I’m afraid I don’t know, as the hair I bought wasn’t the mohair you would normally buy from a shop for rerooting. I have often seen Etsy sellers say how many grams they recommend for different doll types though. It might vary depending on what type/length you’re buying ☺️
For Blythe Doll ☺️
I recommend finding a mohair seller on Etsy, they should be able to help 😊
I'm from Brazil! Here buy by oz ! Thanks!
Hi! Where can I purchuase the hair you sre using?
