- It was so beautiful to see DN17 & DN18 soaring the skies above the pasture in unison! It reminds us that the season is ending soon and DN17 & DN18 will be departing soon to begin their journey's. It is an exciting time for them to be on their own yet it is bittersweet for us to be saying goodbye to them. The entire video showcases them flying both separately and together set to Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Freebird". Thank you for watching!

I can't help but get all choked up with so much emotion. What a season it has been, what has been a very successful year at Decorah North. Even when the nest fell they rose above it and made the best of it with Mom and Dad keeping an ever watchful eye out, protecting them and at the same time giving them room to grow. Thank you Lady hawk for this beautiful video and meaningful words. You are the best!!

Everything that was done by these two incredible parents was for such a time as this. DN17 and DN18 are two young warriors soaring side by side and will leave when they feel ready. We can have confidence to know that they will fly with the best of mom and dad in them. When you leave you shall go, but what you leave behind will always be with us. Wow! A beautiful video of magnificent eagles. Sad, too. I always wish I could keep track of them to see how their lives turn out. They sure had an unusual start to life with their nest collapsing so soon after they fledged. Maybe that will make them more resilient. Thanks, Lady Hawk for giving us a depth of understanding we wouldn’t otherwise have.
Hello Susan thank you so much ♥I agree with you - they are more resilient due to the nest collapse and also from the other juvie/sub adult intruders in the area all causing them to learn those skills for survival at a faster rate!
Now this is success… many of us on this feed suffered a lot of loss for creatures we really loved this season… this makes my spirit stronger! Awesome awesomeness… I pray the Lord have mercy on these beautiful raptors and fill their crops each day, as they live a long productive life. ♥️♥️ GREAT VIDEO LADY HAWK!!!!!
