Love Jimin's new song "WHO", off of his just released album, "MUSE". This was filmed in Hungary, which I never knew had a film industry. The MV does have a comic book, vintage feel to it. Jimin's vocals and the choreography is perfect! Jimin is credited with writing all of the songs off his album except for this one. Loved that Jimin had a hand in both his FACE & MUSE albums. He is so hard working doing all of this before enlisting. Jimin will be featured on Jimmy Fallon on Monday. I'm guessing he prerecorded something prior to entering the military.

✨I find it absolutely mind boggling amazing all the thought process, effort, work, Jimin put in, (which the behind the scene from “SGMB” (“Smeraldo Garden Marching Band” MV) also confirms), since it seems immediately after “chapter 2” began over a couple of years ago, when all the members started focusing as solos, instead of in the context of the group.Every moment, whatever time he had, Jimin was continually composing all the melodies, writing all the lyrics, coming up with so many ideas & concepts and even the producing aspect of each song for not just FACE, but also MUSE, already way back then! Jimin even was the one to come up with the choreography for “Who”! It also explains all those photos & posted comments from all the well known, famous producers, mentioning working alongside Jimin, praising him, as well as excited about projects they were apparently working on way back when Jimin was in LA almost 2 yrs ago. Then later on also in NYC. It seems that Jimin was working non stop til late nite even filming content still, overseeing the choreography he created, right before he made that farewell vlog for us the night before entering the military. Which also explains why he kept his long blonde hair til after filming. Also to show us his shaved head that he could finally have done. Just amazing how he worked non stop (which is also why we didn’t see nor hear from him often) throughout all that time. I wouldn’t even be surprised if, even in the military, he might be still continually working on, thinking about more new content, whenever he has some alone time, aside from all he’s doing in the military. ✨I’m most happy & excited that Jimin’s name is credited in 6/7 songs, writing & composing for his already highly successful, record breaking 2nd album MUSE. Jimin is also credited producing, with the exception of a couple of songs. Even on Jimin’s previous FACE album, though Jimin wasn’t credited producing, aside from Jimin composing most melodies, & pretty much writing all the lyrics, he indeed was involved, participating, as shown in Jimin’s FACE production documentary. Even though also not credited for song “Who” from his MUSE album, Jimin is always hands on, coming up with the concept of the song, what he wanted the lyrics to be about & mean. The concept photos even have Jimin in more of a rocker look with electric guitar, “Who” which is the title track which indeed MV of which does always get released the same time the album officially drops! The look of the MV, the quality of the filming, and especially the way Jimin looks, the way he walks, but most of all, his on another level, breathtakingly spectacular vocals, stratospheric high notes, Jimin’s equally breathtaking, absolutely spectacular, also on another level, dancing, as well as the stunning choreography, which Jimin created, along with the amazing backup dancers, makes this all the more enjoyable, to watch! Jimin rushed to Hungary only for a ever so short couple of days to film this MV there, cramming in as much as he could just a month or so before leaving to the military. This music video reminds me of the 1984 movie, “Streets of Fire”. This was directed by Lumpens who has been working with BTS since their debut year.

Jimin’s also quite successful first album FACE, still charting worldwide! The seven-song LP released on July 19, according to a billboard article, features the intro song “Rebirth,” as well as “Interlude : Showtime,” the pre-release song “Smeraldo Garden Marching Band” (featuring Loco), “Slow Dance” (featuring Sofia Carson), as well as “Be Mine,” “Who”, (single can be purchased, aside from 2 versions MUSE album), and “Closer Than This” (which dropped in December.)
Jimin even mentioned that after finishing his first album FACE which mainly was about what he went through, his thoughts, inner feelings, frustration, even depression during the pandemic, he wanted his MUSE album to be brighter,, which is why he chose “SGMB” as the pre release, a way more uplifting, cheerful, happy song. Following his first solo album, "FACE," where he sought to explore his true identity, "MUSE" documents his journey in search of the source of his inspiration. I think he said it was shot in Hungary. But I think English is sort of a world language since most of the industrial world teaches English as a second language starting in grade school (I live in PA, USA and I wish they would teach it here). I also think we'll hear more songs in English from the group since they are planning a 'worldwide' tour when they come back from military service.

funny you said it feels like this is jimins own genre. i think it was billboard who just wrote something similar to this but i can´t remember. and i too think that he has his own style. another reactor said his voice is rare and the only other person he knew who had the same type of voice was a jazz singer (i think it was jazz).

This song's "vibe" was inspired by late 90s - early 00s pop music. The song is basically about waiting/searching for your soulmate. The whole album MUSE is about being open to love and happiness after being in a dark place before. *You definitely should watch his live performance on Jimmy Fallon!*

i think the meaning of the tornado of love is Jimin himself. he is the person who is looking for love so he moves from one person to another without any spark and wanting to settle down. also think his mindset of feeling lonely can make you depressed and when you are depressed all of those negative toughts fly in and out of your head all the time like a tornado. and jimin talked about feling lonely and depressed witch comes with high fame i guess. it´s so sad i want him to be happy in love.

Another great reaction from you two! This is from his MUSE album, dropped Friday. The other videos you've seen are from FACE. They're both shorter; he created the albums one right after the other, and dropped/promoted FACE before he enlisted. You're right -- this song and video are very much his own but he uses so many influences from other eras. The video was shot on a "New York" lot in Hungary. "I think he has the pick of the litter" cracked me up. Yeah, his problem is definitely not about finding enough applicants for this job. :)

This is the only song off the album jimin didn’t write. The retro vibe was spot on. The clothes. Store fronts. The vhs rental store. Video turned into a vintage video. The dancing is reminiscent of the 90’s and 2000’s videos like mj and Brittny . His voice was awesome. The music fit perfectly and of course Jimins choreography was spot on. A lot of people were surprised that Jimin references the word “she” which I get. Jimin songs are normally gender neutral but again he didn’t write thus one. The album is sooooo good! He did not write it but he told the writer about the story he wanted to tell. Pdogg said in a interview, the song is in English probably why he did not write but still matches the whole story he wanted to tell. He outdid himself with this album! Can’t stop listening to it!

This video reminds me of 2 other international situations: I worked with an Indian man who was close to the time of going home to select a bride from the ones who had been arranged. He would see a nice car and say, oh I want to get that for my wife! Etc. always wanting the best for the wife he didn’t yet know.
The dancing in the street reminds me of an old tradition which hasn’t really gone away but in my grandmother’s time, in the late afternoon on Sunday, the single men and women would go for a walk.
It would be on a nice street, like one near the beach. The girls on one side of the street and boys on the other. My grandmother was born in 1885, btw in Martinique so a walk where there was a little breeze was welcomed.
Girls weren’t supposed to look at the boys but sometimes there were little glances across the way. Well that’s how they made couples. It’s a lot(?) like the dancing in the video where Jimin is searching for a partner and dancing with everyone he meets.
