watching this from Kyoto and i just have to say that your commentary on inevitable stress and remaining grateful/present throughout it all spoke directly to my soul (especially after getting stuck on the Shinkansen in the middle of a typhoon like oml how humbling 😭.) definitely needed to hear those words. nothing is ever perfect and sometimes navigating through life can feel a bit directionless but that’s the exciting part🪷🩷

I realized a few days after being here & talking to ppl that Japan is extremely safe & they take stealing/returning lost items very seriously, it’s like a completely different energy from the US. I even saw people sleep on the streets after a night out when the subways stop running bc they’re not worried about ppl stealing from them. So after being there a while I felt safe leaving my camera & even my bag down & walking away. I’m so glad you enjoyed the video! I’m sorry to hear about your breakup, sending you so much love on your journey of healing & eventually booking your travels!❤️

I don't know how old are you, but you're so brave! To travel for so long and so far in so different cultures completely on your own, you are a total inspiration. I only travelled alone once for 3 nights in Venice Italy (i live in europe). Would love to do an Asian travel solo tour too. Stay safe and enjoy everything! Anxiety and stuff will fade, but memories will stay

I love your sense of fashion - I do have to say though (because you also mentioned something about it) that I would personally highly recommend to dress a bit modest during solo travel as a female! It's sad that we live in a world that this is a thing of course, but it is one of the important things that I have learned during my own personal solo travel experiences; the things we wear can unfortunatly give some people the wrong idea and could (not saying it will) provoke some very unwanted situations. Just saying I noticed a HUGE difference from when I wore what I was used to, to dress a bit more modest and cover up with linnen etc. It made my overal experience (as someone that also has anxiety) a lot more comfortable!!! (Because I got way less attention lol) Anywaysss love and I love your videos!!!!

Haha this was a great video and reminded of all the fantastic panic attacks I had while I was there. I went for a few weeks a few years ago to visit a friend who had been living there. She spoke Japanese extremely well, and I thought I would be set, but I still managed so many insanely embarrassing hilarious fuck ups. Just one major fuckup after another one. Vomited on a bus after having a massive panic attack rolling down the ski slopes in Hokkaido (I was dumb enough to think skiing would be easy, and didn’t know how fearful of heights I was before getting on the ski lift. I also separated from my friend in Tokyo one night. I was drunk and lost, looking for my hotel at 3am in the morning. I was walking in and out of shops drunk and crying trying to find my way and I didn’t know a lick of Japanese haha I cried tears of join when I finally saw the giant golden peanut at the Asahi factory that was close to my hotel 😂
