You are very correct about people in villages. Even in towns baby food is not beans! My son was finishing a carton of sma gold in 2 weeks. I managed till 3 months we switched to akamu asap!
The smoothest blender in the world.
It just reminds me of how my Saturday mornings were to blend beans for moi moi and Akara. The finished look is beautiful 😍
Yes oo.. very beautiful
I just love you Nelo, you're a super hero mom. Am learning a lot from you because you give us real/ undiluted motherhood content.
I struggle so much to do exclusive for 4 months and my babies cry so much because they are just not satisfied. Thank you Nelo, I have a new plan now for the future 😁. Adanna is two months, I cannot believe it 😍
I really respect you all that do exclusive oo.. I have never been able to.
I also started it for my baby when she clocked 2 month,I make it than also put it on fire and stir for 2 sec, and pour into a flask, make new one every morning, Nd not planning to stop anytime soon 😁
I prepare mine by myself. That big blender brought alot of memories. Adanna dey enjoyoo. Great food for babies
Thanks alot for this video my baby is 5 months now and I have been scared to introduce solids for her but seeing you prepare this for Ada am good to go😍😍😍
I enjoyed the video, it brought sweet memories when I started solid for my son, the stress is out of this world but enjoyed every bit of it for the sake of my love for it. Thank you for sharing and bringing back memories. It’s so real and I can definitely relate to it.
Blending your own food it is the best because you know what is made of! Good job mama💖
This video was very nice and you're doing very well, by allowing your baby girl to eat solids from now. I'm sure *she'll enjoy it* and always want more, which is good for her to have a healthy appetite. *Great job Nelo,* all will go smoothly and you will be satisfied with the outcome. Nice seeing you Nels and take care until the next one!
I love Adaeze Smile ehnn......Let me keep watching. Didnt see ads oo
Frankly speaking, 2months old is just too young to start taking solid foods especially when the mom is right beside her. Even if u won’t exclusively breastfeed for 6months, at least try 3months first and then introduce milk then slowly to solid foods. Her intestines isn’t as mature enough as u think. Plus breastmilk has all the nutrients needed and body defense cells to help her fight infections for next 6months. Nevertheless It’s your decision to make. Adanna is gorgeous ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Som's Thought, good talk u said it all
Honestly,it's jus too early...haba
It's not that early!
Our mother's train us with food (pap) from days old and we are still very strong and healthy!
There are kids that eats alot, hard to say but mine started at 4days..
Enjoying the vlog . Typing while watching. Thank for taking me along to the market and grinding process. Love the realness.
Adanna growing up fast. Kiato enjoy your bread o. Thanks for showing me Nigeria. By the time I visit I’ll be versed re your cultural practices.
Nelo that Blender looking like that it's probably an African thing, because even in Cameroon it's same and it's fast, quite affordable, and they take large quantities.
Really nice! I’ve never heard of this! Thanks for teaching me something new today 😄
Thanks for sharing this video!
My Mum used to sell "Akamu" (pap)
It's been years & your video just reminded me the whole process.
lReally good to see the process, i never thought of mixing different grains. It’s better to do it yourself that way it’s clean, I don’t like buying pap.
Hi Nelo😍😍 You can also add soybeans and sesame seeds to the mixture it's so healthy for babies
Ok thank you.. I will next time after this finishes..
Nelo by the way I’ve introduced your channel to quiet a few Caribbean American, who are similarly interested in our ancestral homeland and we really enjoy when you take us along for the ride 😊
Awww thank you ☺️
Super Mum. The blender brings back memories. I remember when my mum would send me to go and blend beans and I would use the opportunity to talk to boys hahaaaa
😂😂
FATgirl Guide 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
My childhood crush lived close to where we blend our beans 🙈
E Don te wey u spoil 😃😆😆
The Xandercs Family mine too did.. Handome Rex.
amazing mum Nne it have tey oooooo
Dear Nelo, I live in London, so l don't have access to the grinding machine you used in grinding Adana's food.
But I have 2 blenders, one that is over 20 years old, and a modern one, and they both blend my beans, maize, millet, rice, dry roasted peanuts etc, perfectly well.
I wash and soak my ingredients at least over night, or for 24 hours, and then I rinse and put a cup of water in the blender, and slowly add my maize 🌽 for porridge, beans for Akala / Akara, etc, but I don't soak the ground nuts / peanuts, I grind it with water.
I think if you blend the ingredients at home, then you'll avoid driving out to the grinding machine, unless the machine is within a walking distance.
I've used my blenders in blending beans for Akala for a party, and it went well.
I believe you can blend 2 or 3 cups at a time, and use it for a day or two, and then blend another again, or even if necessary, blend daily, and a good nutribulet will grind very nicely for you, try it and see.
Wishing You All The Best 🌈
Soaking it helps with digestion (gas) which happens with beans.
Wow, she is so gorgeous. Time is really flying o, two months already. You are doing a good job, Nelo.
Yes ooo, that machine is the number one in Nigeria, those days in NAIJA i usually use it for soya beans for my kids.
Oh yea, my mum used to make this too, even pap. Btw, that woman is equally a neat person considering the fact that there were no particles of beans or pepper remnant from her blender. If you know, you know!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Weldone mama
😂😂😂 yes o..
Pls Nelo did u soak the corn in water first before grinding?
I was waiting for this video. Adanna is older than my daughter with 2days. Here for the 35k subs
I remember going to blend my younger sister’s own when she was born. The whole process is still fresh in my mind😆
Don’t worry you’re not doing anything wrong. Some kids take food earlier than 2months, it’s all a matter of choice.
This video is really helpful
Adanna is such a cute babe
The way she giggles in front of camera as if she knows we are watching her.
You did it well,It's healthy and Nutritious. Adanna is enjoying oo
Guys nelo said she doesn’t plan on stopping soon for any of her kids is she saying there are more kids in the future so more okeke cuteness I’m here for this
😂😂😂😂 nooooooooo.. i have closed shop ooo..
Open one last time and do sales 😂😂😂
Lovely video pls we need to see the consistency of the pap,God bless you
Naija my country... I remember this process during my first baby, this grinding process just took me back memory lane. Big boy kaka... Growing so fast and handsome 💙
Am already excited for this content without watching sef. Let me enjoy🙌🏾
See Adanna see fat ooo, that was great. Adorable baby 😘 enjoy your self baby. Adaeze with a good smile and a good heart as well 🤗. Nice vlog
This blender just brought back Saturday moi moi dinner, the blender of all blenders😀
Ada Ada, she’s beautiful 😍. I cannot forget that grinder it’s very noisy eh but it does the job perfectly.
Thanks for sharing. This is rich food for baby Nelo, go search for those stuffs here self me and my children go dey drink self😊
Honestly I can’t wait to come to Nigeria I want my son to experience all this food
Your baby is strong and healthy am happy for you dear
Hi Nelo, just came across this video while searching for how to make pap for my 3 months old and I love this method. Please what did you add to the pap before giving Adanna.
hey just milk..
I remember this big grinder at the market,OMG it does the job soooo well.
I wish I can make this combo here for my kids.
Ada you are enjoying ooo
I love homemade baby food. Chai now I see why Adanna is looking super cutie and chubby.
When I’m in Lagos, I shop from inside the car. From meat to fish to pepper to grinding the pepper, to chicken, killing the chicken, and cutting the chicken, to ewedu, okra, Maggi, palm oil, groundnut oil, gari, elubo, etc. My favorite markets are in Sura and Sand grouse. But person must use brain. I found for example that I can get plantains cheaper in traffic than at Sura market. Also, some supermarkets near my house sell certain items so much cheaper than buying them at the market, so I need to shine my eye at times.
This stuff legit knocks me out to sleep. This particular mixture if you want to finish me add soybeans inside. Let that house burn I wont wake up. It's legit awesome
🤣🤣🤣
This is what I did for my son though we started at 3 months and my mum started giving him amala at 3 months lol. Initially I was angry but I am greatful because he doesn't select nigerian food.
Temitope Banks 😳 very interesting. That's nice. I'm learning
@@blessingitua8204 I was forming mordern mummy before lol, from two months she would put little soup in his mouth with her finger so that he could get used to the taste of what we eat in our house.
@@blessingitua8204 I was forming mordern mummy before lol, from two months she would put little soup in his mouth with her finger so that he could get used to the taste of what we eat in our house. The amala wasn't plenty sha. Just bit size for his age
Ahhh me I usually start soup at 4 months 😂😂 putting in mouth small small.. amala at 3 months 😂😂😂 your mum no de smile o
Y did u take the water for it
How wish i know it can‘t harm them, i could have done this to my children at two month. They don‘t eat african food now. Well done Adanna
Is 2 months too early for solids for the baby? We usually start at 4 months....we buy the corn meal already grinded wouldn't that be easier? I love learning new cultures... Addana is adorable.
Its not though and I prefer to make it by myself. Thank you
I think 2 months its young 4 month is ok
Yayyyyyy! Notification gang
Ada is so beautiful 😍😍
Hi Nelo. Just subscribed to your TH-cam channel. I really enjoy your videos because you are just so real. 😍😍😍😍😍
Nelo please can you show the way you make the food and how you feed her with it.
Am trying to start solid for my 3 month old but I don't know how
Pls aunty nelo, am a new mom,and my baby will be 2 months in days,so pls i was want to know if u added any sweetener or milk to the dawa dawa,I really need this because,I always leave her for her dad anytime I go for lectures, she is never full.
Nothing is as sweet as having a daughter honestly. Both sex are good though, but, there's this special joy attached to when you have a girl especially when it's exactly what you're praying for. God bless and keep you Adanna!
Very true o
We use to call it grinding machine in Benin
dat is yummmy my dear u r a darling mom love u dear.keep it upur mama born u well Adaaaaa muuu
hearing pap for a two month old after having 4 kids. would have tried with my 5th,but no, i am soooo done. i suffered with my first and second babies struggling to do 6months exclusive breastfeeding, my big babies would look so lean as at 4 months, i just knew within me they needed more, but i had obviously been brain washed by the nurses at the health centers. i knew my kids suffered that period. that scam is over. with my 3rd and 4th, started milk at 3 months and pap at 4 months. the difference was clear.
I enjoyed the vlog Nelo especially the process of making dawa
Nice one dear.
How do you preserve it after gringing AMD stiveing it,for it to keep long without spoiling or changing test, wona know please
Favour Eze freeze it
I really do admire your confidence... Say hi to Ada cutie!
Aww thank you
Do you mash boiled fish for your kids? I heard it's good, what's ur take on that?
Yes i do but not at this age.. I start between 5-6 months
Please should a 2 months old baby take in white akamu or yellow akamu or none of them?
Oh woww interesting, I didnt know we could start solids at 2 months. I always start my kids at 6 months. You were so hands on with the food/blending preparation process, I liked watching u there😊
Yeah they say 4 to 6months is best for the digestive system.🙏
Exactly I don’t know about earlier than that but I still do not feel if you Dnt start at two months they won’t take African foods. Just my opinion 🙃
@@rukeiwhiwhu6498 they'll still take African food even if u didnt start that earlier. As long as u introduce it to them and be consistent..
I can't give food until they can hold their neck, I will be so scared to start at 2 months, 5, 6 months.
Adanna is more than adorable. Am just watching and learning.
Yes oooo! Nne, learn very well, very soon, it will be your turn In Jesus, Name AMEN.
@@edithezeaku2206 Amen o
My baby is 4 months and cries more even after breastfeeding, scared of introducing solids so I had to make apple puree for him. He ate a whole lot but was very uncomfortable the whole day. I had to stop because I feel his system is not ready. Would try this for him at 5 months btw Adanna is beautiful.
Thank you.. yes maybe you should. It might work.. so sorry for the stress and discomfort your baby’s feeling.
I make this for my kids last week and add soyabeans to it ..it super nutritious
You guys are really working very hard in your married, may the almighty continue to gives you strength and shower you blessings in your house🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Amen 🙏🏽 thank you so much
I enjoyed it and I can relate with the way u do ur things as a mum
I love how you raise your kids.
that is what i used to feed my sisters kids with oh is very nice and healthy
I think this is personal. My daughter started pap at 2months. When you have a child that has excessive appetite you will have to learn how to navigate. Nothing satisfies my 2month old except you give her pap then there will be peace at home and everyone will be able to sleep and she looks healthy than a a 4month old
Please the Ada,s food how many days did you shock it before blending.she is too beautiful and cute ♥️♥️♥️♥️
I just came across your page pls ma’am can it be in just plain powder form and not a lot paste like this
That's a typical Nigerian commercial grinder! we have been grinding with it and haven't died. maka ndi ga - asi the grinder isn't neat”
My sister oo 😂😂
Now I know babies can tolerate pap from 2 months. Please show us the consistency/ texture of the pap after you make it.
Ok i will in a vlog
Beautiful Adanna. Nice job dear, please btw the three cereals that you used, which one should be more?
I used all equally
Did I need to add milk to it cause I want t start it for my baby she is two month old today
Did u add formula when cooking the food?
Nelo, when do you introduce water drinking to your babies?
From day one.. lol.. Adanna took water the day she was born cos i dont do exclusive so she needs water ..
When i saw this blender, I was so scary but you said it is safe.
Don't mean any harm.
It really is... plus the food basically still gets washed after blending..
Nice one, the Lord is your strength dear 😍
Nelo, that machine for grinding is called the Mill
Really.. i never knew o. Thank you
good for ada baby, i start giving my babies dawa pap from one month.
I really appreciate dis video
I will try it
Hello mama,
Please your 2 months old eats light solids?
Just came across your channel and I love it!! Subscribed!
Why didn't you just use your blender at home, is it safer this way? Uche would have just helped
I would have blended it 4 hours straight as i can only blend a cup at a time.
Very healthy food shaa
Hi dear, please did u soak it before going to blend .
Hey.. yes I soaked it for 3 days and washed it once everyday..
Hmm I'm here trying to cover up and this one landed ,ok let me relax
All we do for our kids . I love this video it's going to help someone out there .they are really much .Adanna enjoy yourself nwa. good job dear
How do you preserve the dawa?
Is it not more expensive when they know you have a car? My mother used to park farrrr away from this the market so that the sellers won't even see her although they will heighten the prize like crazy.
😂😂 its a norm in Nigeria ooo.. they tell you price according to your car 😂
Lol😂
Nelo Okeke 🤣🤣🤣
Naija will not change
@@NeloOkeke and I'm Cameroonian.. Seems like an African ish 🤔
I wish this video actually showed the whole process of grinding , processing then making the food for those who want to learn then do it for their babies. But o well .
Aww baby ADANNA is 2 months .
Yup yup yup! Enjoyed watching it.....
This video made me smile a lot. I love mummies
Great job Nelo
👍👍👍👍👍
What I want to do for 3 months baby is the dry one hope is safe
We are the same, my kids also starts solid on two months
Yaaayy
I get so excited to watch ur vlogs
You were really hands on with the whole grinding process.
Yes I remember one should blend until it comes out so smooth. And this blender does the work best, tested, trusted.
💕
Ever smiling Nelo
