Dara's commentary isn't 'bad': they are obviously knowledgeable and still have a ton of passion for the game. That being said the community needs to stop selling it as 'the best in the business'. It (their commentary) isn't that polished. Personally I think they should slow down a little. The viewers don't need audio description, we can see what's happening. Otherwise it's okay.
Yeah I've never been a fan of "play-by-play" commentary with that false hype voice the whole time. Good commentators know when to describe something that happened on screen, sound hype, sound casual, make jokes, etc. It's about dancing between all these different moods and modes depending on how the match in front of them is going. It's definitely not easy to be really good at commentary but Dara's been doing it the same way for years without any improvement (in my opinion.) It doesn't help that the co-commentator is doing it in the *exact* same way.
Dara is a great commentator. Speech improvement over the last 2-3 year is night and day! Plus (she/he?? Idk) is one of the few people that can keep up with what’s going on + add insight. There’s plenty of times Dara will make comment about habits or options that are getting punished. Top notch stuff Dara. Keep it up
@@joshuadavis8265EE might not be as knowledgable but he can definitely make matches infinitely more exciting while also having better wordplay so idk what that means
How is the commentary bad? It didn’t detract from my enjoyment or distract from the game. They missed some stuff here and there. But as viewers we aren’t just listening. We’re watching. You see what happens. The criticisms here are nothing, other then “they’re bad”.
What makes it even worse is Dara claimed she/he is one of the best commentators in the business on Twitter. That being said her commentary is judged more harshly by others. You as a viewer aren’t listening, but as a comp player I do listen to commentary and it makes the sets even more enjoyable. The fact that anyone compared EE to Dara is just a slap in the face
I’m like 90% sure people don’t like it because Dara has a bit of a speech impediment. I honestly liked the commentary, but any time Dara is on the mic you’ll see people hating on her
The speech impediment is distracting. I respect the people who don't let it bother them but it stands out so much for me. I don't even hate Dara. It's just weird to have commentary for Top 8 major with a speech impediement.
@@zfump2132Not the speech impediment that bothers me, the content of the commentary feels redundant, they speak very quickly and use many words to say little, almost like they just want to fill the silence.

@@jordanfan8222 The issue is that it isn't analysis. Dara's commentary is just saying outloud what just happened on screen. It's like Dara is explaining the match to a blind person rather than actually doing commentary.
So fun to watch two characters who have to fight each other. Also two of the most creative and prepared players in the game. Absolutely love it.
they all have to
現役で強敵と闘い続けるlightさんを心から尊敬します。
These two are so even it’s insane
This is peak Smash bros
Tweek’s diddy is the most beautiful addition to competitive ultimate

Genuinely like the commentary, people are of course entitled not to but personally I don't have a problem with it
This was the most hype set I've ever watched, holy cow.
You must not have watched grands
This set was crazy good, Tweek and Light both played amazing

same energy as when diddy dragged fox to save donkey kong in brawl

No idea why people are talking about the commentary--it was perfectly decent 🤷 And great set, btw.

annoying voice that never stfus. You don’t have to always be talking to be a commentator
