With some brands its practically impossible to get out with a screwdriver. Its such a smooth plastic you cant get a grip on it and they have no hole at the bottom so there is a vacuum seal holding it in as well. One trick is to use the axle threads from the hanger to get some leverage on it with the grip from the threads. But the best way to get it out is with an air hose but most people don't have that at home...
