This album was absolutely LEGIT, I wore this thing out as a kid. This is easily in my top 3-5 thrash albums of all time. Great seeing somebody actually reacting to it!!!
Dear Friend,i totaly agree !! I grew up with this Album on LP Format,of corse 🤗✌👌🤘💥 !! I was 15 at that time ! Every time i lissen to DftD,i switch back to my great memorys from my childhood !! Thx for request !!
I just gave a listen to Helstar…..that’s a killer record…I downloaded it after only hearing about 30 seconds of the first 4 songs. Thank you for suggesting it. 🤘
AGREED! Secret Square is one of those “hidden gem” songs that gets lost on a record that was overlooked. I love that song - and all of Cuatro, killer record.
Top song dude. First tune I ever heard from these guys. Saw them in London a couple of years ago, they came onstage playing , actually playing no tapes, this intro before destroying the place totally. \m/ \m/
This was my very first concert right after Newsted left they opened for megadeth at city gardens new Jersey and the entire band came out with master of puppets tshirts on. Blew megadeth off the stage.
Eric AK indeed. They had a manage some time ago who also had the same name (Eric) So, they referred to their former manager as "Braverman" (Eric Braverman) and the singer as "AK" which are his middle and last initials.
Rage off of Ugly Noise is a cool newer one from three albums ago🤘 Iron Maiden is a thrashterpiece off of self titled and Demolition Man off the new one End of Chaos 🤘
Great video! Please do a reaction to the song Rats from the band Ghost. The song was released 2 years ago but the lyrics are scary on how they apply today. If you can watch the music video with the captioning on and I guarantee it will blow you away.
Have you done/listened to any other Flotsam? This is where bass player Jason Newsted got his start before joining Metallica in 1986 a short time after Cliff Burton passed away. It's pronounced K-noot-son. Hard K then the rest. Alway's wondered how Jason would have progressed had he stayed with Flotsam. Jason did get to do an album with Voivod. Actually 2 albums I believe-Voivod and Katorz.
Sometimes what we see in this world isn't what was meant to be....we are fools to believe that the heavens doesn't play host to all manner of beings that are higher than us ....it states that we battle not man but spirits in high places....in the ancient times high meant sky and heaven meant sky now if you look at what I've seen and what many others have, we have never been alone on this planet and it is in fact up to us to make it out of this......call it a right of passage ..but that is exactly what's going on make no mistake about it and there is multiple worlds watching us to see it ....that I feel is truth
check song suffer the masses or the cold or iron maiden or recover.Flotsam and jetsam is very underrated band and they are well hidden treasure to everyone that find them..
If you haven't heard Southeast Desert Metal ,,,Break the silence,,,, you absolutely have to hear and see the video , i am a proud Cherokee Indian from sweet home Alabama! I can only say that I feel confident that you will share my feelings when you hear and see the video , wether you react or not,,, please my brother,, watch and hear the words. , I only wish more people felt this .
Liz Dauenhauer You are either a huge Metal fan or you are from Phoenix or both! As a young teen I lived in the same neighborhood as Eric and used to see him and the rest of them around constantly, including Newsted. If I remember correctly he had a job at Los Arcos mall right before he got the gig in Metallica.
@@brianmauk5126 you are correct I am from PHX I have been friends with all of them since newsted was in the band if you went to any of the shows I was thereif you went to any parties were they were you were probably at my house
I'll be checking that out along with "Better off dead" in my next Flotsam video. But dude, I listened to "Hammerhead " for the first time in my thrash metal jam session the other night, and I must say, that is a MONSTER of a song. So far it's taken over as my favorite Flotsam song. I am truly enjoying this journey exploring Flotsam's music. th-cam.com/video/wu5j16V-dNc/w-d-xo.html
@@TheAdventuresofTNT Maybe I should send you some of the new stuff, before it comes out?? I will check with the label, and the rest of the band, to see if that is possible. I love all of your old school metal reactions. Keep it up.
Yeah, MFer, I have an opinion about this, too! Ha Ha. Working backwards over the last few months, I'm not sure what you're covered from Flots, but I gotta give you my top 3. Monster, Wading Through The Darkness and Demolition Man. Monster is just a fun, kick-ass tune, Wading is just a beautiful vocal-cantric song... emotional for me, and Demolition is from their latest record, The End Of Chaos (2019). Doomsday is a great song and Newsted from Metallica started this band, but for all the good shit that goes along with this album, I think they have gotten better with time. No offense to Newsted, but they didn't miss him when he left. Erik AK Knutson's vocal are better now, cause he can control his voice better and the music has more nuance. In other words, their first couple albums weren't as polished. I love some raw shit like this, but musically they've gotten better. IMO. If there was a BIG 8 of thrash, they'd be there!!!! I haven't listened to Promise Keepers in forever! Unnatural Selection was a really good album all the way through. Brain Dead is the shit! For me, they found MY sound with Cuatro, although No Place For Disgace is Awesome, too. Just some dude's opinion... ROCK ON!!! Peace!!!!
Sorry dude. No more Sepultura on the channel. They gave us a copyright strike last month. I reached out to whoever I could to get it removed and they refused. Shame, cause I really like them.
@@TheAdventuresofTNT Thowe dirty scoundrels! Well they are on a counting for sheep copyright now cause that's bullshit and I'm sorry for that on their part...seems people cant get over themselves enough to let music be fucking music but that's alright I love what you do
Seems that there will always be bias opinion and bias feelings in the world that we live in and it's a damn shame that we cant all come together for a common goal! Sad really and it really let's you know that we battle things outside of our understanding
@@aprildickerson2065 I couldnt agree more. I tried to let them know that we don't do anything malicious with the music and they keep all the ad revenue. All we do is review and recommend the band. I mean, you can't go wrong with that. Featuring music and talking about a band, keeps their name alive and relevant.
This is from their early stuff. I prefer their newer material after this. Their sound production quality got better. The band was just as good earlier but the albums after this have a bigger sound.
Hell yea. I liked the video and I enjoyed the performance. Thats my favorite Ozzy track so far. Reaction videos have really introduced me to a lot of great music.
i loved this band back in the day...ppl made fun of me for it...i thought it was better than metallica and ironically the bass player ended up in metallica

Gotta go No Place for Disgrace 🤘
Jaso Newsted was the Bass Player in this Band until he joined Metallica in late 1986-2001. 😎
Was a fan as soon as this LP dropped...Also The first time Jason Newsted blew me away. Epitome of what a "Thrash" band was at the time.
this band is a hidden gem and are always good to see play live.
should react to No Place for Disgrace
In a twisted way, this is a song of hope, the metal beast defeats Satan
i belive this song is about the end times.
The entire album is killer. It's a masterpiece of it's time.
Man, I LOVE seeing a reaction to this song. Thanks! Best intro ever. Check out Helstar-Nosferatu for another great band/song in the same vein as this.
