And people keep talking about Cousins always taking the best deal he can get. He has only got to make that choice one time in his career, and that was 2018. And when he made his choice, he didn't take the highest offer. The Jets offered Cousins more more than the Vikings and he turned down the Jets.
Stop with the lies! The Jets weren’t willing to fully guarantee his contract like the Vikings did!

I'm a Vikings fan, but this would be huge for Atlanta, because they could get their QB and still keep their draft picks to fill out the roster.

People talk about Cousins and his contract(s) (specifically his 2018 fully guaranteed contract) and how good of business man he is. Was it all guaranteed, yes. Was it a lot guaranteed, yes. Was it as much as Aaron Rodgers guaranteed money that Rodgers signed in 2018, no.
Well no one said he was Aaron Rodgers level.
@@Cjcastres Yep. But my point is, what is the value of a fully guaranteed contract if you can get a non fully guaranteed contract that has more guaranteed money.
It's wild to me that Cousins has made as much money as he has, and won as little as he has, and he still cares about the $$$. I'd go back to Minnesota for the veteran minimum and load that Brian Flores defense up in free agency and make a real push for a couple of years.
How much has Jefferson won? Nothing. Yet he's looking to be the highest paid non QB in the NFL. Should he take the vet minimum to give the Vikings the best chance to win?

WRONG what matters most to Kirk is winning. He took 6 million less 1/14th of his total payout in 2018 dollars to come to Minnesota and if he gets hurt or falls off a cliff that is 6 million he never gets back. Likewise in every deal since then he has taken less money than he wanted. Last Spring he offered to take less money than QBs that are WORSE than him in Carr and Jones ... so the most money is NOT what matters most to Kirk. It takes 1 minute to do this research.
My understanding is the Vikings could have signed Kirk for 37.5 Million for 24 and 25.
where did you see that? he did say he would take less than Jones Carr and that he just wanted 25 Kwesi in yet another dumb Kwesi move said no paid him in full and made him a FA NOW if they sign him he won't come as cheap and he will STILL get 25. Kwesie really is out of his depth.@@TristanandIsolt

Gtfoh! If Kirk cared about winning, he would have taken less money. He would actually work on Tuesdays since it requires only 17 weeks. This notion that Kirk cares about winning is laughable considering he has 1 playoff win. Stop with the nonsense! Kirk has not done anything to deserve the money he received.
