29 TDs and 4547 yards in the regular season. 11-0 in one score games, 8 game winning drives, and the greatest comeback in NFL history by throwing 417 yards and 4 TDs in one half.
The Vikings had 13 wins and won the division despite having the 31st ranked defense and a bottom 2 pass protecting offense line. Kirk was sacked the most times in his career.
Kirk carried this team with JJ. Don’t let haters convince you that 3 TDs and no turnovers in a playoff game isn’t good enough. The last play of the season failed. He put the ball in play before getting knocked down by Dexter Lawrence.

Yep, he sure did, but it seems the only people who saw it were the folks in Minny. The media continues to be shameful in how they treat him and the team, but yet they have excuse after excuse for teams like the Cleveland Browns who sign thugs and convicts. You would think with how bad the reputation of the NFL is right now they would make a guy like Cousins their poster child.

If the vikings would have won that game, even if Kirk had the exact same stats as he did, nobody would be saying he played bad, but just cause he lost everybody is saying he played bad. he's like the vikings scapegoat or something.

The reason why cousins was in so many 1 score games is cuz the defense couldn’t stop a nosebleed all year
that is correct, and the sports analysts knew it, but they kept putting it on Kirk, because that's always been the fallback position for a rotten media that glorifies thuggish players.
Interesting fact: The Vikings are the only team in the Super Bowl era to complete at least 80.0% of their passes with no turnovers and no sacks allowed and still lose (regular season or postseason). NFL teams had been 47-0 in the Super Bowl era when doing all of that in a game before the Giants game. That's a stat that shows you how well Kirk was playing. He had pressure in his face all game (50% of his drop backs) but still got the ball out to a receiver. His defense failed him miserably.

This was cousins best year as a pro. Not stat wise but I think Kevin O’Connell rly got him to play like a winner and he had 8 game winning drives and 13 wins plus a division title. Gotta fix that defense man.

I can't understand why this guy is criticized so often. He's got 40 thousand yards passing. An outstanding touchdown to interceptions rating and a 67 pct career passing completion. In my opinion this dude is a first ballot hall of famer

kirk cousins is very good QB, vikings defense sucks, everyone can hate cousins but his stats says it all, his stats are better than most players in the Hall of fame ijs.. if Jim kelly and Troy Aikman can make it so can captain kirk very underrated QB

That game is 100% on the defense. Kirk was 31/39 270+ yards, 3 total TDs (2 pass, 1 rush) he was literally our whole offense and kept us in that game. The defense needs that blame like no other

If Cousins were playing for San Fran, that’s a Super Bowl formula right there. (As long as he doesn’t ask for too much money), but yeah, no, The 49ers just have size all along their trenches and a Solid aggressive defense. Unlike the Vikings undersized trenches and soft ass defense. Yuck. Watching that prevent defense crap give up yards after yards, and points after points was just unbearable to watch.

Offensively that 22 Vikings team was Super Bowl caliber. If they had had even just an average to slightly below average defense... anything more than historically bad really they would have had a real shot that year.
All that to go one and done in the playoffs.

Those 84 coaches had a combined record of 596-746-2, which is a .443 winning percentage (or just about 7 wins). @@Alex-sf9bo Choking would be him missing a wide open receiver, throwing an ugly interception, or fumbling the ball; none of those happened. He had 3 touchdowns, made numerous clutch throws on earlier drives, and played a very clean game, its not all about the yards.

it was a bad play call that didn’t give Kirk a lot of great options. All the receivers but Hockenson had deep routes that were too long in developing and the O-line had trouble stopping DT Lawrence who had a bead on Cousins.
