For starters: glacier should be baked into the hailstorm tower, every 5th shot shoots the aoe Replace the glacier shard with a new one i call "glacial pressence", it doubles the aoe radius of the glacier shot and reduces damage fall-off, that would be a start, but then its probably still bad, sadly ;_; i love this thing... Rework icefall into: when glacier hits, it drops salvo hailstones that drop from above that deal 25% defense power on hit, or anything else rly
This honestly NEEDS to happen. The shard has always felt like a "the tower needed this so we just made it a shard" and those new shard ideas would fit so well esp with the whole Hail"storm" thing

I kinda liked the hailstorm tower for a bit, I used water aura for the freeze then added earth spiders for the shatter combo. I trashed this build when they stole my boost aura from the lady monk. I think the tower strength comes from fast fire rate, more single target than aoe. I would add a shard spray and play that causes each shot to target a new target, maybe adding more projectiles as you level or gild. That could boost damaging and cc potential.
Maybe the Firework Cannon or the Harpies Perch? I used to use the Hailstorm paired with a water Skyguard to get some CC and save 10 du, but never rebuilt it after my last reset + honestly it wasn't that good. Remember in prehistoric DD2 days, when the Flamethrowers secret power was mobs wouldn't agro to it, so you could leave it along the path to soften up baddies on the way to the walls?
Does not quite work that way. It increases the damage of defenses near where the enemy is. Does not put a debuff on enemies. Plus this is the Hailstorm not the Frostbite. So entirely different tower.
Why is C10 Walls+Anything Else? And how did the Devs "Give that to us?" You make that comment about walls+anything a lot and I've always just taken it to mean all you need is enough DPS to kill the enemies. I can solo build up to C9 reliably but when I goto C10 it seems to be a mix bag as where in C9 I can do mostly AFK as my towers own. But when I got C10 I need to pay a lot more attention and be more active or walls might fall depending on the RNG of what bosses come out.
They designed the tier around not being forced in to a certain style of defense. Plus added an enemy that encourages the use of walls. So Walls plus any damaging defense.
I would assumed it was something from the Abyss Lord, the walls are never used and the archers and ramstars are beast but colossus is meh? So now I am curious what is technically the best defense, I am currently 1000% with my gargoyles. I am using them to do my resets

I’d love to see how dps oil catapults could fair, I know it’s more of a support tower but intested to see how it performs

Idk, I've never tried the crystal fissure from the adept but it's range makes me really wonder if it's any good
If glacier shard received the same change the heavy cannonball shard got, this tower would be used way more often

Ice tower is a support tower. the thing makes its target take 25% more from all sources. Most I would want is one per lane.

their walls are tough - I do see them used sometimes. Just Werewolf is so much cooler now.
Is that really worse than flamethrower from apprentice?
Flamethrower hits 10 enemies at a time and does comparable damage. So yup, about 10X better :P Assuming there are 10 enemies within range of course.
