you can. just use the 3rd setting that allows you to use standard android bluetooth

To pair with PC by USB dongle in Xinput mode, start with controller off. Press and hold L1 + Home for 3 seconds.
It should pair with dongle. LEDs 1 & 2 will be lit when paired this way.
If you want it to stay in PC 2.4GHZ mode, just power off by holding the Home button. To power on in PC 2.4GHZ mode, simply press only the Home button with pre-paired dongle in your PC.
To pair with Android in Bluetooth standard mode, start with controller off. Press and hold X + Home for 3 seconds to start pairing.
Connect to the controller in your Bluetooth settings. Once connected, only LED 3 should be lit. To use with same Android device later, press and hold ONLY the Home button. LED 3 will blink a few times and light up solid once connected.
