Which style wing does everyone prefer?

2nd style, that goes through the bumper.
Chassis Mounts is awesome (the one where you cutted the slits on the bumper. Mainly because you did it right and the wing is as wide as the car.
Been following this build for years and every update you’ve performed spyderlee has never fallen short of impressive. The worlds #1 mr-s aero tuner without a doubt. I have said it before but your MR2 is amazing and I will be using it for inspection when I get one my self.
With the soft top on the duck tail looks just right but when the hard to is on I like the wing with that comes through the slits that are cut rather then the other one.
Great car , video and tunes think the wing looks best fixed at the boot lid. Keep up the fantastic work on both the mr2 and dub cheers.
Absolutely stunning work Lee. Without a doubt one of the best examples of the spyder in the world. My first influence and still my favourite to this day. The colour looks stunning. It's as if the car has matured into something more serious. I eagerly await the discussion video on the new powertrain. 😎 Also keen to know what plans you got for the camper 💪🏽

(personally I wouldn't change a thing after this new look, and for sure not changing the engine to a V8, like you'd mention you had that kind of idea^^, it's kind of "a little bit nuts" for me chaneing the current engine setup to another that is in the end far more heavy for the engine alone, than the whole pack of engine + bold on stuff + gearbox in present...😅😅
So for me, that whould not only ruin the wheight balance, which is garanteed realy good now (I say: front 45 / back 55 :D), to a back-heavy rubber burner, haveing more hp and torgue but
can't get it propperlyon the road now and has newly to deal whit a new hump of weight in the back, that sickence the former high agility in corners and turns to a heavy 'fat ass', that whould come quite nervous/unstable due to cornering or in sharp turns (overall heavier. weight lays in the back, powers can't be delivered onto the road in a good usage) because the back arewa now wants
to force itself more to the outer cornerside, so the risk of oversteering would much more increase, what's untypical to the W3s and not a 'nor,al' behanior, compared to prior setup. :)
Like I said, that are only my views.^^ And adding to these, I haven't even put the amount of cash that all would cost together...😅😅 So to end my view, it'll cost a not now known amount
and would not have any benefis but cons such as more weigth, 'weaker' weight distribution and less agi. (the maybe more hp aren't a benefit to me, if I can't make an atvantage of them because of +weight and -agi. But also for me it would be nice to see such a fited combination in an MR2 Roadster, I've to say.😁😁🤪😇)
I got a Turbo SW20 and haven't much cared for the Spyder, BUT yours is changing my mind on it

My fab mod is painting headlights black with silver ring ..makes massive headlights bit subtle
Always make my aesthetic mind up using a practical tie-break. If the wings are functional and provide stabilty, then I would imagine the chassis mount is more rigid and secure, so stick with that. It also looks cleaner, with less bracketary. Never sell it, you'll regret it, no other car gives you as much bang for the buck in terms of its exotic nature. Maybe you(and I) could be happy with an exige, but at that price we'd be scared to use it. My red 2003 is off the road at the moment, and it hurts like hell!
Love the color! But the custom 'bonnet'! That is the best. Really sets the car apart, nice job. Frankly, I never know which end of my Spyder to call the bonnet! Anyway the dovetail spoiler looks beautiful with the other body modifications you have done.

Vents were from ropey racing but I’m not sure if they are still doing business or not

Looks amazing 😎 for the seats, I’d go with S2000 seats. Best mod I’ve done to mine👍 Relatively easy to fit with much more support than mr2 or Celica seats.

Beauty! Can you share with me your wheel and tire sizes? I just completed the same widebody kit, following a 2zz & supercharger swap. Doing everything myself as well. Had 7x17 +38 offset with 215/40-17 and 235/40-17 to match stock fenders. Now looking at 9x17 +20 or +25 offset to move everything out about 38mm to 43mm to reach the widebody, without spacers. Thanks

What about the upgrades to the 1zz? Never happened? I was looking forward to see how it performed. I am undecided between a BUILT 1zz or a 2zzfor my car.
Thank you for dropping the soft top and showing her topless, SpyderLEE. A great video as always, but I prefer that little rear lip rather than any wings. I always find the sound of unclipping my roof, followed by retraction and flooding sunlight makes my tummy do funny things (though that may be an allergy to shellfish). I'm not certain if I've mentioned this, but I once tried shagigng mine. Is that normal?

Hey Lee, where did you get the bonnet vents from?
No wing…..! If you desire a wing get a lower profile wing or duck tail type . Also I’ll take off the homemade wingettes/splitters & diffuser. The body kit is the ISH and it sets it off nicely with the wheels!
Also I like the candy apple color the best on your car and the grey is second…!

Though I do agree with the top on it does look a bit empty. I remember at some point you had a wing with support bars and lines, which I thought looked mad too. But I can't really find that video right now
Yeah they did look good. Only issue I have is I sold that wing and legs. They don’t make it anymore. So bit of a pain.

Honestly with every iteration of your car I think it's the best yet. Then you change it and I get disappointed, only for me to like the new version even better :P

I have the same turbo, but with forged conrod and wiseco 8.8/1 pistons and a apexi pfc.......i designed adapters to use brembo front calipers ( clio Rs) ......its better and more easy to find good brake pads

Looks good but you should seriously get the speedster aero humps that fit over the folded down soft top.

Any one know where I can get a gas tank for this car? mine rotted and have not been able to get another, tried toyota, tried almost every junkyard, and they all have the same problem with the gas tank.
J-spec will have one and do ship international but not sure if the shipping costs wouldn’t make it horrible. Get in Contact with them 👍

A wing is a tool,. Otherwise, nice car! I like Japanese cars because of their reliability, and Japan can also build enthustiast cars. This one is a good example of that, as it looks like it's been modified in the right way as well.
