Made this cake and it turned out great, I used less sugar though but when I rolled the cake and unrolled it the top most layer got removed why ? It wasn't smooth like yours

Heya! :D I think margarine would work okay, you just need to make sure it isn't too soft as it needs to be the right consistency to be able to whip air into it. I find oil is really great for soft and moist cakes, which is why I use it in most of my recipes :D

What is the purpose of adding corn syrup or molasses in cakes or any other dish. Did you miss to mention abt the size of the baking tray or have I missed it?? These small things make a huge difference in the baking adventures of novices like me. REQUEST: could you pleasee make a pecan pie from the scratch. Like the dough and everything. I tried it once in Sydney and the flavour has still not left my mouth. Can't seem to visit Sydney right now. Can you plz help me relive that memory. May Allah bless you and your channel. Cheers❤
Thank you so much for all your love and support Shagufta :D The purpose of corn syrup and molasses really depends on the recipe. For fruit cakes or spiced cakes, molasses adds a deep caramel flavour. Corn syrup is used to either add moisture, allow for a smooth consistency in things like syrups (it prevents sugar crystals from forming), and amplify the sweetness in baked goods. Hope that provides some clarity! Will keep your request for a pecan pie in mind for future videos :D

That's why essence vanila exists to make the egg not smelly
