      100% . He was a distraction with his contract. He's not a leader. I'm excited for him to be gone from the chargers. He also drops a lot of passes and can't really grind down a defense to close out games. He loves his fantasy points and celebrating his first down when we are down 60 points. Me first player

    Some Charger fans are down on him, but I respect him standing up for all running backs in the NFL. If the money works I hope he can come back and tandem with a bigger back, which is how I think he should have been utilized all along.

    • @MrJeffgallo11
      @MrJeffgallo11 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      We are down on him because he saw what Melvin Gordon did and repeated the same dumbass thing. Holding out for money that isn't there because we have a salary cap issue makes both Melvin Gordon and Austin Ekeler the biggest dumbasses in the world. He was offered 10 and held out for 12.5 and got nothing. He needs to fire his agent.

    • @jkehoe100
      @jkehoe100 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      He’s a 3rd down back. Great personality. But, him standing up for RB pay was self serving. Asking his teammates to step it up and him showing what that means on the field would make me respect him a lot more. Player leadership lacking on Chargers. Mack performs and is reliable but is quiet. Need a vocal beast leader. Someone step up.

      @DeansGreens 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You don't understand what a holdout is if you think Austin Ekeler held out. Melvin Gordon held out, which means he refused to play, thinking it would hurt the team enough where they'd be forced to pay him. Austin Ekeler wanted an extension so he didn't have to play on the last year of his contract, which no player wants to do, and when the Chargers said no he requested permission to speak to other teams. And when a deal didn't get done before training camp, he still showed up. The Gordon and Ekeler situations are not remotely the same.
      I'm also not sure where you're getting the "he was offered 10" info from. According to Ekeler, the Chargers made him no offer and said they wouldn't talk about extensions until after the season. @@MrJeffgallo11

    Ekeler’s fall off last year shows he’s old, beat up, and slow. That left sideline “run” where he was caught from behind sticks out as the worst example.

      He’s not a class act in any way. Throws everyone else under the bus and always has subtle digs at Herbert and others.

    Lol guy has one bad year likely battling injuries all season with crappy coaching and management and he’s treated like public enemy #1. This mentality is why the chiefs have taken over that division and you wasted Herbert’s rookie contract.

    • @user-yu1un5em2f
      @user-yu1un5em2f 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Herbert would never be like this clown no matter what the money seems to be. We all know why he "held" back this season. All them drops/fumbles/ weak runnin...he played the team out of money this year...therefore he crossed the line..and sealed his fate! No matter what the coaching was!.
