To be honest, I think he sort of enjoys it. With the chaos and all it's actually quite funny to watch, and I'd imagine it's fun for him, too, since he has the opportunity to debate one of the world's most eminent thinkers.

I would argue that Buckingham Palace may bring in more money if we abolished the Monarchy. Think about it, you could go to all the rooms, there would be a lot more to see. Versailles gets 15 million visitors a year and it isn't even in central Paris. From personal experience, I lived in London for years, am interested in history, and not once did I visit Buckingham Palace.
I love how the four examples of countries that are favourable to the monarchy Piers gives are:
USA (warred with England to not be a part of the monarchy)
Canada (already a part of the monarchy as a Commonwealth realm)
The Carribean (whose citizens the monarchy enslaved)
India (whose citizens the monarchy oppressed)
Australia (another Commonwealth nation)
I mean living in the US its cute watching a ceremony on TV in a far away land, how quaint, good thing they aren't dipping into my tax dollars to fund their vanity projects. How is that proof that its a good thing for Britain?

its probably the worst argument against the royal family, they have so many followers that the entire news cycle of the western world gets interrupted when anything happens to them. There is no tourism campaign you could fund that would generate this amount of exposure. I hate the individual members of the royal family and I think the people who worship and respect them are pathetic, but if people are going to worship them, you might as well cash the cheques.

It was so good to see Piers Morgans face squirm when he had strong opposition to his Royal family views. Give the Royals a large house and let them all live there. Let them go to work and earn a living as we all have to. It is very unfair to the people of Britain to see this family given all these palaces and land for doing nothing.

- When I look at the "pomp and pageantry" of Britain's royal ceremonies I don't feel a shred of embarrassment for how ridiculous they are
- I am only interested in traveling to countries with an active monarchy, no others are historically interesting in the slightest
- The people I want to rule my country are the ones that get the most eyeballs on TV

I'm from Belgium and like many other European countries we also have a Royal family and I have to say the amount of pomps and pageantry the British display is absolutely outrageous and the amount of reverence people like Piers Morgan have for said Royal Family is completely off putting.

The case for the monarchy in the 21st century is that its part of our history, its tradition, and its something we can get around and appreciate, something that glues us together. This is why you need a moderator for a debate, Piers talks over his guests. A moderator makes the panelists answer questions and stops interruptions and just makes the debate more back and fourth whereas this is more like 'let's listen to Piers completely disregard someone's argument, not even consider an opposing side of view and try his best to limit them talking so he can actually make all the points he wants to make'.
