And now he's a NBA champ with GSW 🥇 and the future of the franchise. What a journey he's had until 22 yo and what a future awaits for him. Stay healthy young fella 🤞🏻
you must not appreciate hard nose defense young fella. Both teams are top 15 in defensive efficiency, its gonna make offenses look worse than they actually are
Man I was so excited after he hit that shot! A great example of why it's so important to always play to the end and prepare for these types of scenarios in practice.
What a game...feel bad for Houston or anyone on the other end of something like that...but UM has had their share of being on the other side of those in all sports...feels good to be on this side this time!! #GOBLUE
This was the shot that turned me on to this beast. His confidence has always been so huge. Now he’s been a 15 ppg scorer off the bench the last 35 games since he got called up from the g league for a warriors team Thats been playing in very meaningful games during that span and just dropped in 38 last night with 6 great dimes and some beautiful chemistry and off ball movement with his teammates. 6th man of the year potential is his in his near future but honelsty I don’t know if anything else than starting and playing 35 Mpg gonna be enough for how good this man is and will be. He’s a 25/5/5 guy like no doubt if he gets the chance
The Michigan Wolverines from 2015-2019 is my favorite college basketball team ever. They were never too good but were good enough to where every game was INSANELY hype. So many memories. If only Belein stayed, we would probably still be riding this out
I hate when coaches don’t guard the inbound. I don’t care what the situation is, when you give the inbounder a free pass it makes things a lot easier. You get your tallest and longest player and put him on the inbounder. Cmon.
Every Wolverine fan who watched the team this year had to expect us to lose a huge game due to missed free throws. Instead, we won a game because the other team missed big free throws. March is both cruel and exhilarating. Go Blue!
Two years ago, I heard Charles Barkley saying that John Beilein might be the best coach in all of college basketball. I chuckled at the time, but now - I'm starting to think, he might be exactly that. Last shot wins and all, somehow - this coach - who was predicted to be "middle of the pack" in pre-season - has another BIG title (2 in a row), another Sweet 16, and three straight (including 2 of 10+ points) wins against MSU. His team has now won 11 straight games, and has been to the 16 round in 4 of the last 5 seasons, including losing in the title game to a now-defunct Louisville system that hired prostitutes for incoming freshmen.
Who cares? Michigan proved that it was the best team in the Big Ten at the end of the season, while MSU proved that it definitely wasn't the best team in the Big Ten at the end of the season.
7 months later and I will never ever forget this heck of a playoff run by Michigan. Earlier that month my uncle passed away. We had a special bond together. Then after that Michigan goes on a incredible playoff run to the final game against Nova. I was so proud of them and happy as this was a tough time for me.
Wow!! Houston played Michigan tough, but a good team like Michigan was able to come up with the clutch play at the end. It was quite a gutsy call by John Beilein to have Jordan Poole take the last shot.
The scary part is that in both games of the NCAa Tournament thus far, UM has won primarily because of its talented second string ...smart PLAYERS AND WISE COACH WITH A very DEEP BENCH. If UM's starters begin to finally start playing up to their ability(ALL of them!) literally NO Team will stop them. They are the one school NO ONE "wants" to play in this tournament.
As a UH fan, this killed me. I had them in the elite 8. My whole family was watching, and we were celebrating, and then I just fell back on the couch...
Tommy Crowley I’m pretty sure half the players in college basketball could score as much if not more than grey if they were given the ultimate green light like he has. Takes 25 shots a game and makes, what, 10 or 11 at best? And he gets 21 a game? If Poole took 25 shots a game, he’d score at least 30 every time. His defense is poor though, that’s why he doesn’t play much. He’s getting better but sometimes he tries to do too much on defense.
Don't act like Xavier simpson was ever in the discussion, Xavier is a great defender, that's it, nobody ever said he was even close to being as good as gray, but yea Gray is insane
As a lifelong Michigan fan, incredible shot! But I really did feel bad for Houston. That's the beauty of march madness, sometimes you do as best as you can ln and it's not enough. Felt bad for those guys

If he was better, he would've made those. Plus, he was already 9/12, which was better than his 69% during the regular season. So yeah. Dilly Dilly.
