    Thank you for your channel! As a black, 53 year old life time star wars fan its so refreshing to find this channel! A LARGE portion of Star wars fans are horrible and the over reaction to the Acolyte is sickening! Star Wars theory, the critical drinker and others are over the top and all the hate that is in the fandom is sad. Is this the best Star Wars ever? NO. Does the show have some problems? is some of the writing REALLY BAD? YES. Is it watchable? Absolutely! I give it a 3 out of 5 so far and I'm really looking forward to this next episode!
    thanks for keeping this about...GASP..Star wars! You have gained a new fan! Really...THANK YOU! Great editing btw!

      I'm glad that you enjoyed the video and it was refreshing for you thank you! There is a ton of unneeded/wanted hate in the community, especially now more than ever. If you don't like something that's completely fine, someone still might. Hell, The Acolyte could easily be a child's first introduction to Star Wars and if they love it then that's great. It's just like when you and I first discovered Star Wars. The show definitely has its issues, maybe more than usual but every show does. I liked episode 1, episodes 2 and 3 weren't really for me, but I really liked episode 4 and I'm excited for the rest of the show. Thank you once again! and of course. If you enjoyed this video you will really like the one I uploaded yesterday! If you have the time, I highly recommend it. By all means though you don't have to!

      I literally got Disney plus to check the show out after seeing the amount of hate it’s received, I was genuinely curious as to how “bad” it could be. Made it through the first four episodes in one sitting and I was astounded at how good the show is and peoples response to it. Do I think Anakin should’ve been the only force child? Sure… but is there absolutely a possibly for this to occur in starwars? YES - it doesn’t break cannon at all.
      Honestly I was more bothered by their attempt to put Asoka/Sabine on the same screen because Sabine was “Asokas student” - which was news to me. Lol

    The term Acolyte could be interpreted as followers of the Dark Side or Sith. They, like the Jedi followers we saw on Jeda in Rouge One, are just believers trying to mimic a following, that could also me termed a "Cult" of the Sith, that is total separated and not recognized by the Sith as being true sith. So yes, I don't think that this mysterious "tooth full" hemleted acolyte is any of the Sith Lords we know of, just a renegade.

    • @CantinaTalkSW
      @CantinaTalkSW  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I agree, Acolytes in the past have been followers, or force users that align themselves with the ideals of the Sith Empire. Same with the followers on Jeda like you had mentioned. Thank you for the comment as always. I agree, its just a renegade.

    My theory is that the Acolyte is a story of mistaken identity. The disillusioned Mae had left the order and had become somewhat nomadic, travelling the galaxy. While away from population centres Jedi begin to die and begin to be attacked... this is done by Mae... but how? She's not around - the Jedi receive a report of her on one of these far flung worlds and go after her. She has no idea why they're there and refused to be taken in by them, even by her old master. She lashes out - making people certain she is the one who has been killing Jedi.
    However, it was not her, instead the helmet wearing, crimson blade wielding force user we see in the trailers is an exact look-a-like of Mae... so much so that people believe it to be her. It is not. It is her twin sister. Twins born to witches. One twin given to the light - fallen and disillusioned. And another given to the dark - powerful and making a mark.
    This dark force user we see with the Helmet is the titular "Acolyte" they have a master, a sith pulling the strings behind the scenes. But they themselves are not sith. Just an apprentice, an Acolyte - who is being trained in the dark side... just like her sister was once trained in the light.
    And that's my theory! Let's see how wrong I am in a few weeks! 🤣

    I'm getting sick of hearing ppl bringing up Plagueis's name. He was literally around 15 yrs old when Acolyte takes place. Apparently, Tenebrous srarched for decades to find his apprentice. I seriously doubt we'll see Plagueis in this season. He's too young and probably isn't Tenebrous's Apprentice during this time.

      You clearly didn’t get to the point where I said that we wouldn’t see him this season. Also Plagueis Race Muun. They live for over 100+ years and he died around 10 years before The Phantom Menace which was 42 BBY and this show takes place 80 years before that. Plageuis would be around 20ish and would almost be the same age as Palps was taken by him. Calm down, pal.

    Sir, I believe that this sith needs to be locked into the dark side. You may be thinking, “what do you mean?” Well, most sith in recent movies/series in the Star Wars universe (such as the Kylo ren for example) have never stuck with the dark side and I think and I really hope that this sith stays warped and trapped with the dark side. I think this would make him or she a better character.

    • @CantinaTalkSW
      @CantinaTalkSW  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If that was the case, it would break all sorts of canon. This isnt the time for full dark side users to be at center screen. They can be fully tapped into it sure, but that would also break the rule of two since we know who are currently alive and active dark side users. The knights of ren were formed 3 ABY. This show takes place 130 BBY so there isn’t any possibility of it being them.

  • @kspayton
    @kspayton 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    its possiible this person is a knight of ren as well. from the wiki: "The Knights of Ren were an enclave of masked elite warriors wielding distinctive weapons for ranged and close-quarters combat, making them the elite and fearsome enforcers of Kylo Ren's will. The Knights hailed from the galaxy's Unknown Regions where their name and reputation inspired centuries of cautionary tales about the dangers lurking in uncharted space. Though local folklore warned of the marauders known as the Knights of Ren, the exact origins of their modern incarnation remained mysterious, for they were either directly connected to that ancient tradition or wrapping themselves in the legacy of legends."

    • @CantinaTalkSW
      @CantinaTalkSW  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Unfortunately, the knights of ren were founded on 3 ABY. This takes place 130 BBY so there is no possibility that it’s the knights.

    • @kspayton
      @kspayton 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@CantinaTalkSW i was looking at that too. the wording makes it difficult to establish a timeline. how can they have "inspired centuries of cautionary tales" in the unknown regions if they had only been around for a few decades? maybe disney is planning to expand the lore on them in some way? sounds like the kind of thing they do. also it mentions the the current knights are just the "modern incarnation". maybe their have been others. its just an idea. i doubt its true tho.

    • @CantinaTalkSW
      @CantinaTalkSW  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@kspayton I understand where you are coming from and I get it! I don't think there is a remote possibility of this tying into the sequels in any way that's 200 years from now. I believe Disney as a whole is honestly just trying to move past the sequels to begin with. That's part of why the Rey Movie is 10 years after TROS. I'd genuinely be shocked if this tied into that. The only character that would tie in, would be Palps but that's even a stretch because he isn't born yet. Or it won't be for another 25 some years. Im not at all trying to shit on your theory in anyway shape or form. Im just saying that it wouldn't make sense imo.
