I know this video was a couple years ago. But I had to comment on your incredible skills and ingenuity. I think this is totally awesome. My dyno for Zenoahs is different airplane propellers and a tachometer. Much appreciation for what you’ve done here!!
I have to smile as i also use hacksaw on my lathe to cut pieces of when to lazy to setup parting tool😃👍 very nice design. Going to look into this, racing 3off 1mtr cat boats with 26cc zenoah engines. Nice vid👍
thank you men, we need this service available everywhere I believe is very important know how much power have the engine with any different change can you make
Are willing to share some cad drawing. I'm interested in your design and would modify and enlarge to work with 4 stroke Briggs and Stratton Engines around 10-15 hp. thanks for your video and great work on your design... :)
Hi, awesome job! Whats the maximum hp it can hold back? Im thinking of buildone a similar one with a dual sided rotor to increase its capacity (aiming for 100hp maximum)
Thank you man, i am not sure yet it has been on hold but i expect it to hold 20hp, it is all up and running but the drive shaft keeps snapping so i need to redesign that, the vibrations are a problem
@@makeorbreak2798 bugger! Which shaft is breaking? The coupling or the water brake itself? Do you run a clutch on the engibes you are testing or just direct drive?
Actually, do you have the sae paper on calculating the hp it can handle? I purchased it this week, its a bit of a read! But your design might be more efficient than you think. What rpm do these engines get to?

😂 Thank you 🙏 when i had to make 3 of them the hacksaw was my friend 👍

Great machining finish, nice work good engineering
Thank you
amazing
great work any chance you would share plans???
Sorry mate it was off the top of my head, cnc ran the shape but then i machined everything on the lathe, the pockets are very easy to do on f360
could you make a bigger one for cars engines?
Yes it’s very much the same, depending on power you would probably have pockets on both sides of the rotor
Nice build, where did you get the plains for the water brake?
Thank you 🙏 i designed the waterbrake, it is inspired by every waterbrake i could find pictures and videos of online😊👍

@@smaggies Im also interested. But to use the water brake for generating hot water from a water turbine and a small stream next to my house :-)
What did you use to cover the bearings?
Just oil seals but I removed the springs for a bit less drag
What material do you use.
Hey mate I’m just using 6061
@@makeorbreak2798 Thanks, I'm building but I don't know if I can do it like you.
@@ฉัตรชัยอุนาศรี33 awesome mate good luck i need to get back into it i have had a long break from it

@@dancarrigy6598 the shaft between the couplings it’s designed to break but snaps almost instantly, its direct drive no clutch

What cnc router you use ?
Hey mate its a cnc6040 router, but I rebuilt the gantry with linear rails
What is that small balancing jig that you have ???
Hey man its a dubro prop balancer
