It was written to be very difficult and some parts were computerized and impossible for a (female) human to sing. There are female singes, who peform it with some changes, and Dimash is probably the only male singer. He has other great versions of the song - at the Bastau concert in Kazakhstan and at the Dragon Television Spring Gala in China.
Great performance from the master. He also does diva dance from the bastau concert. Dimash is too good for competitions. I mean who could beat him. He cane in second on the singer 2017 I would assume due to respect to the other singer. Clearly he was a better singer and performer. To come in second on that show was a pretty big deal and honor. If he'd do any competition again, maybe it'll be Singer20XX :-P The show is really respecting every artist in it, including the orchestra! You see how everyone is given credit and exposure. Also giving background story why and how artists chose songs. Most importantly they never mocked at anyone's costume! X-P
I have loved binge watching all of your older Dimash reactions and others as well and this one is so much older now that you may never see this comment but I just wanted to mention that I appreciate that you also recognize the orchestra behind the artists that you react to a lot of the times, that doesn't in any way take anything away from the artist performing like some might think, they are also part of the performance and deserve to have credit given when they are as good as this one is. Dimash would probably say something similar as well and would also commend you for giving them recognition, if you have seen anything after some of his performances when the song is over, if he gets a chance to say anything, a perfect example is the video for Sinful Passion, he Always makes it a point to thank his band and gives them credit for the great job that they always do, he's very appreciative of all the people who help with his performances, he such a humble guy which I love about him, not a lot of people who have his level of talent are still humble and kind but Dimash is. You should watch some of his interviews at some point when you get a chance, I think you'd appreciate them as well.

"Dimash can't surprise me anymore" famous last words! LOL His accuracy is due to having perfect pitch. I think the low part where you heard something may have been someone from the choir. I didn't hear anything he second time, but I'm watching on a phone and my hearing ain't what it used to be.
To answer your comment; Dimash came over here, in a competition called « The World’s Best ». Not surprisingly, he was on his way to win, but he recused himself after a few episodes because he had to compete against children, which is against his values and he had been promised he wouldn’t. Doing so, he forfeited 1 million prize and made some of the judges (Rue Paul in particular), very angry. He didn’t care, he is already a star in China and Russia. The episodes are on TH-cam. What is maddening is that every performance had to be short (2 minutes max I believe), so he didn’t have time for all his usual build up and nuances. After that competition he said he would never compete again, and that was that!

The underlying sounds near the end are low harmonic vocals which gives a little distortion sound. But really....most people don't notice something so subtle. Dimash is simply underrated. lol

What was confusing you at 8:40, I think this show low-shelved his sound in post production for some reason, that bass line is completely muted, as most of the three octave glissando he does a bit later. It's a shame. You can hear what he was doing in another version, from his Bastau concert.

He was very sick in this episode of the show and got to the stage after getting a few injections. There is an interview in kazakh tv with him which has also subtitles and he explains it there. But it is still an unbelievable performance from our prince. You should also try Diva Dance from Bastau concert and the duet with Li Yugang Drunken Concubine+Diva Dance. Thank you for your reaction! So much for not being surprised again. I am guessing what you (me too)are hearing, is from back vocals, and a tremelo from one of the instruments. It's sounds too "smooth" to be from a cello or bass (my opinion), and it could also be a tremelo effect from the keyboard. I can hear it several times during the song. Blessings to you!

It's a good thing you didn't use the version on Gloria Wu's Y.Tube channel for this one, because although she has Eng. subs, she replaced some of the concert footage with movie clips she found relevant. You should use her videos for Singer Ep.4 "Autumn Strong", Ep.7 "Daididau", and especially Ep.8 "Daybreak", all of which not only have subtitles, but also short intros with the backgrounds to the stories. This makes a big difference to the emotional impact of the songs - especially for "Daybreak", where the story provides a context for the lyrics, but the intro also shows Dimash having to go to the doctor to get an injection to his throat, because he had lost his voice the day before he had to sing. If you use her videos, click the "cc" button on to see what Dimash is saying in the intros. She also has backstage videos and Dimash interviews with Eng. subs. In this performance, the dancer represents the woman in the song who he found cheating on him, and in the "Diva Dance" he inserted the high staccato part where there is usually a very difficult run, which was done in the movie by playing voice samples on a synth. He includes that run in the version at the Bastau concert.
There are lots of videos available on his channel with him singing with no instruments or microphone, and definitely NO autotune...see what the haters can say about his pitch then!

The show is really respecting every artist in it, including the orchestra! You see how everyone is given credit and exposure. Also giving background story why and how artists chose songs. Most importantly they never mocked at anyone's costume! X-P

I have loved binge watching all of your older Dimash reactions and others as well and this one is so much older now that you may never see this comment but I just wanted to mention that I appreciate that you also recognize the orchestra behind the artists that you react to a lot of the times, that doesn't in any way take anything away from the artist performing like some might think, they are also part of the performance and deserve to have credit given when they are as good as this one is. Dimash would probably say something similar as well and would also commend you for giving them recognition, if you have seen anything after some of his performances when the song is over, if he gets a chance to say anything, a perfect example is the video for Sinful Passion, he Always makes it a point to thank his band and gives them credit for the great job that they always do, he's very appreciative of all the people who help with his performances, he such a humble guy which I love about him, not a lot of people who have his level of talent are still humble and kind but Dimash is. You should watch some of his interviews at some point when you get a chance, I think you'd appreciate them as well.

"Dimash can't surprise me anymore" famous last words! LOL His accuracy is due to having perfect pitch. I think the low part where you heard something may have been someone from the choir. I didn't hear anything he second time, but I'm watching on a phone and my hearing ain't what it used to be.

To answer your comment; Dimash came over here, in a competition called « The World’s Best ». Not surprisingly, he was on his way to win, but he recused himself after a few episodes because he had to compete against children, which is against his values and he had been promised he wouldn’t. Doing so, he forfeited 1 million prize and made some of the judges (Rue Paul in particular), very angry. He didn’t care, he is already a star in China and Russia. The episodes are on TH-cam. What is maddening is that every performance had to be short (2 minutes max I believe), so he didn’t have time for all his usual build up and nuances. After that competition he said he would never compete again, and that was that!
The very first verse in Confessa was in Chinese. Dimash had it translated for this performance. The rest of the song was in Italian. The Diva Dance has no text. Great performances by Dimash. Greetings from Amsterdam.

Can you imagine needing a computer to match Dmash. You must listen to his sound track to the new movie Creater's The Past. That should do it for you

What was confusing you at 8:40, I think this show low-shelved his sound in post production for some reason, that bass line is completely muted, as most of the three octave glissando he does a bit later. It's a shame. You can hear what he was doing in another version, from his Bastau concert.

He was very sick in this episode of the show and got to the stage after getting a few injections. There is an interview in kazakh tv with him which has also subtitles and he explains it there. But it is still an unbelievable performance from our prince. You should also try Diva Dance from Bastau concert and the duet with Li Yugang Drunken Concubine+Diva Dance. Thank you for your reaction! So much for not being surprised again. I am guessing what you (me too)are hearing, is from back vocals, and a tremelo from one of the instruments. It's sounds too "smooth" to be from a cello or bass (my opinion), and it could also be a tremelo effect from the keyboard. I can hear it several times during the song. Blessings to you!

It's a good thing you didn't use the version on Gloria Wu's Y.Tube channel for this one, because although she has Eng. subs, she replaced some of the concert footage with movie clips she found relevant. You should use her videos for Singer Ep.4 "Autumn Strong", Ep.7 "Daididau", and especially Ep.8 "Daybreak", all of which not only have subtitles, but also short intros with the backgrounds to the stories. This makes a big difference to the emotional impact of the songs - especially for "Daybreak", where the story provides a context for the lyrics, but the intro also shows Dimash having to go to the doctor to get an injection to his throat, because he had lost his voice the day before he had to sing. If you use her videos, click the "cc" button on to see what Dimash is saying in the intros. She also has backstage videos and Dimash interviews with Eng. subs. In this performance, the dancer represents the woman in the song who he found cheating on him, and in the "Diva Dance" he inserted the high staccato part where there is usually a very difficult run, which was done in the movie by playing voice samples on a synth. He includes that run in the version at the Bastau concert.
