There are many therapeutic treatment from that u can reduce the pain but for some people taking morphine can become an addiction like it does to this gental man but his mind set is different from the beginning he use the medicine and many abuse it.. Like i myself is an addict to opioid now I am in recovery from 3 years and I take other treatment therapy...
@@biakguite1992There's no excuse for Morphine addiction unless you really don't want to come off it or your country does not offer Buprenorphine patches to wean off. Unlike the synthetic opioids which are up to 100 times stronger its easier to control.
@@123sosekI had to use Morphine and Codeine/Dihydracodeine over a long period of time and you MUST drink plenty of water if used frequently because it causes constipation. They are licenced to treat diarrhoea usually for people who cannot or do not have access to Loperamide, so they have the potential to make you very constipated and dehydrated. I also developed Kidney stones which could be that but not sure, I heard that at least with Codeine can cause kidney problems if used for a long time frequently, so I guess it could be connected. Some people report that Morphine has helped them overcome depression or made them happier, I feel it made it worse although I could have just been miserable from not being well and being in a lot of pain but if you don't need it anymore wean off as soon as possible because withdrawal symptoms are something you need to stay on top of.
I think morphine should be sold easily all over the world in the pharmacy for all the persons that are suffering sevearly in a way or another

i got food poising like 5 days ago and the only pain killer that worked perfectly was the morphine , which you cant get from pharmacies here in Kuwait only through hospitals

If u got pain and want to get off drink a lot of water slowly Doniget yourself killed by water or morphine and take it down by dosing down slowly like 5 or 10 mg every day take it down to 10 and don't drink just water drink water mixed with a little sugar and salt so u don't suffer from the lack of necessary things in your body by drinking a lot and don't go over 6 big cups or even 4 at all but make sure you drinking your water and be COOL if u think u can ... Take cold showers don't let it become ur addiction. You will face big consequences if you don't quit it. And make sure u know what you need first. Is it just morphine or u can't get off because of withdrawals. If it's your case like me. Then do what I said and sweat yourself like strength train. Do no cardio or less if u exercise and rest a lot. If u can't take the pain and want to quit pop normal over the counter pills but don't do a lot just 1 or in Max 2 a day till u can eliminate morphine from your body for 7 days

In the UK a solution of 1.0mg Morphine and peppermint oil are sold over the counter but not very widely available anymore, this is a very low dose and it's because it can be addictive

That is quite the dumb comment there. Thousands of people in his situation commit suicide all the time because they have no respite from horrible pain. Count yourself blessed if you are never in this situation. Having someone over your healthcare under prescribe because your will become "addicted" and will suffer withdrawals. Do some research if you really want to see what the truth is and find out the difference between "addiction" and " dependence". Morphine is one of the greatest gifts to humanity. Try living with crippling pain without it.

He's been taking it since 1979. Tolerance builds over that period of time, and he has to increase the dosage to get the same pain relief he once received at a lower dose.
Thank goodness that he has such a caring team of pain management specialists to understand the mechanism of how opiates work, and that he has quality of life.

I feel bad for this guy... he thinks that shit is helping him... opioids should only be used for short term pain treatment, and only used long term in terminally ill patients. Judging by the handful of pills he's taking, he's obviously succumb to the effect of exponentially always needing more of that opioid. Eventually he will reach the critical amount his opioid receptors can handle, and he'll be fucked. And if he has to get off it, he will be in the most painful dope sick hell he couldn't imagine. Being on opioids sucks , trust me, but methadone would be better. It's more stable and doesn't require a constant increase of dose. No opioids is best however...

As the United States is fighting an opioid epidemic.. we patients like me are suffering we rely on opioids like morphine to stay alive
it's just ashamed that people on the street are overdosing and it's causing patients like me to suffer because we can't get the dosage we need.. my dosing that I need. you can call me crazy but I have a severe back injury I would require 20 Percocets a day but I'm only getting 10 that's not even enough to survive on or to even work again......
Sometimes I feel and say that death would be a better option....

I have to take it most days for pain and nothing else works but I never get withdrawal problems even if I don't take it for almost a week. It should be more readily available and if you educate people then they'll be fine.
Simply not true I take methadone 80ml a day and I went 3 days without once and was hospitalised as I felt like jumping out my own skin and the pain was everywhere so I went back on it and that's a long half life morphine has short half life so you would feel withdrawal after like 6 hours maybe more depending
@@johnwallis509 80ml is quite a lot though for daily use, I'm talking about lower doses for chronic pain relief. I have learned everyone is different and not everyone reacts to drugs the same way - I don't get stoned on THC for example and I can take between 5-30ml of morphine a day and then not take it for days and I get no withdrawals. If I do have to take higher doses like I have for a few days this week then I make myself stop or reduce for a few days.
I understand the risks and what doses are too high for me and how and when to take it and that is my point - it is my life, I know the risks and there is data out there that shows that most people who use it that way don't have a problem with them.
Also, I hate how it makes me feel so I only take it when I have to yet to get it sometimes is a battle for me due to the oxycontin crisis and how that and other continuous release opioids were given out to the wrong people.
Not everyone needs constant levels of pain relief and that is what caused the problems.
I'm sorry you are going through a lot of pain though and I went through the formication when I came off oxycontin (which did give me withdrawals due to the constant delivery system) and that was pretty rough - showers helped then and cannabis is great for that too, especially the oil.
