I just a small farm but i have owned two 4400 , one 6600 and one 4420 all good old combines and I have finally made it up to a 9400 and planning on buying another 4420 they simple to work on and do a good job, I have all older models.Still running a 4620 , 4560,4760 , hope you have a great harvest.
Colorado here. Ran a 60's vintage JD combine barley that had been winrowed. Worst part of the job was the high-strung owner of the five combines. Guess I wasn't coordinated enough. Later switched to running a truck that ran under the boom of a potato harvester. That went much better. Also ran a JD no. 8 mower attached to a JD GP tricycle tractor. Had teeth break off from rocks, so carried an extra bar I could replace. It was only about 30 - 40 acres of alfalfa.

Sitting on the armrest gets old after about one round. Both the operator and the rider are ready to have the passenger get out of the cab. LOL.
