I talked with someone who has this recently and he said people shouldn't take this too literally because it's used to portray a fictional story after all and isn't designed to portray it entirely accurately. Sounded to me like it's not what having this is like in rl besides learning to accept and fit in which a lot of us deal with who have had some unfortunate days.
