I bought me 5 1970 Honda z600 kei cars. They are getting a K24AWD swap, k24 mid engine, 2jz swap, and one of them k24 mid engine AWD.
Awesome build. When he said ugly duckling I instantly remembered the KA with all the work he had, the gearboxes, mismatched fenders, etc. I think it looked great back then but it's looking even better now haha.

Being in Florida if you ever see Timmy or lulu in the green Chrysler 300 or the purple magnum I think they deserve a interview also. Bad ass builds. And different then everyday cars
How does this vq37 900hp setup compare to your previous kat 900hp setup? Which one did you like most and which engine has better power band in your opinion? I have an S13 and I'm torn between these two engines and it's the reason I ask. They're both power houses but a part of me leans more towards thar nasty Vq37VHR. Huge fan
@@elmoz122 for sure. Back in the early 2010s before I got my nismo 370z I swapped the bottom end from a wrecked G37 into my 2008 nismo 350z after I suffered oil ring failure in 2 cylinders.
@@e46m54nissansr20937 Lifted the head again. First motor was at 800whp. Built a way better one and they lifted at 1004whp. Held at 900whp for a about 4k miles.
The block is dancing around under high cylinder pressure. It's just not stable. If you can get it to hold it is only a matter of time before it happens again.

@@PhillyDee215 yes it’s possible it’s just a built VHR bottom end with built HR heads…it’s the ultimate VQ engine for boost and NA…you can get to 850ish without it being a closed deck and over 400whp NA with the right mods

Slower car (Mustang) wins at these roll events if you can just jump ahead at the tree, I guess. But, hell, I guess its about the only way...seems like there could be a little bit more control tho, like no more than half a car passing the tree....maybe there is, haven't been invited yet 😁

Vqs sound amazing with a turbo or just the right exhaust and not a 3” straight pipe on stock manifolds

@@g32k N/A VQs need to have some sort of resonator to sound as they should the full straight pipe sounds disgusting and offensive.

FYI. The VQ37VHR bottom end fits inside the VQ35HR. The VHR heads do flow better than the HR heads tho.
VHR heads also require years of labor hours to take on and off lol
