My first car was a 1972 HQ SS painted Lettuce Alone. Bought in 1974 when I got my learners permit. Paid 3900 dollars for the car. The 253 had a fair bit of work done to it by the original owner, running a 650 holley double pumper. Had solid lifters and double valve springs, would rev to 7000. I loved that car. Thanks for your work with this video. Great job.
Thanks Mal, some awesome car events in the north, the weather is too wet here in Vic. I was never a fan of the HQ back in the 80s, now I appreciate the body lines and the styling. Sounds like you’re a bit cold 🥶 what is it 20 degrees up there 😂
I hear HQ drivers give the best likes? Just what i heard. Hit that like or even Subacribe to Dadz Garage. You can even hit that litle heart thingy with the $ sign if you like. 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
The HQ was and still is stunning to look at. It's just a personal thing with no offense intended, but I reckon it's appearance becomes spoiled with modified bonnets and wheels that are too big. 2:20, that Kingswood was a standout. Thanks for posting mate, loved it and looking forward to part 2. I have subscibed too.

Connie the RT40 is a sweet ride. Would love a 2 door ,is it a RT45?
I Wish we had events like this over here mate. Dan is going to dribble over these cars but it might give him motivation to get his HQ Van Rolling.

Perhaps the most iconic Australian car. They nailed the styling.
