I have to credit this song a little bit. I first began listening to it in 1979 at age 15, around the same time I was hanging around some bad influences. Whenever I was getting in trouble or close to it, this song echoed in my mind. Eventually I obeyed the warning and abandoned the ne'erdowells. I went my way alone and did good things with my life. 😊

When I met Terry Hall, he was friendly/ polite and a really nice man. There was no snobbery about who he was and he welcomed our conversations. I know he was very sincere about his beliefs and I praise him for not just his music, but for being the really nice person he was. RIP Terry, you will be missed x

Punk shook up disco, then came the refreshing energy of Ska. At a time us UK teenagers needed a voice of unity, of hope. Those golden early 80s of Ska and the new mod generation. R.I.P. Terry, you were a legend that shaped a generation. Gave us so much energy and so many great tunes!
