I like to counter slash ansem’s circling lasers when he chases you. It’s kind of tight timing but it feels nice to block, counter slash, block a few times. I love seeing the different ways people deal with the bosses, nice guide!
Real quick - some extra advice for the lasers that he shoots at you while sucking you into an explosion: You need to guard at least one of the three if you want to get through unscathed. The most reliable approach I have found is to block the instant you first see them glow and afterwards to mash out the next two dodges. That first block might feel early, but it really isn't. Don't know if that helps anyone else, but I had sooo much trouble finding the correct timing for it that I felt I had to share.
Any fight that forces you to mix dodges and blocks back and forth is super hard for me for whatever reason. The suctionsplosion and those single lasers+claw+minecircle sequences give me so much trouble. Thanks for the guide!
I seem to get randomly hit by the four laser shot move (his opener). It seems that sometimes when he uses it (after the first time), that he summons the shots really quickly. IDK if there's a way to deal with this or if the safe answer is to just wait it out and try to punish at the end.

tbh i only needed help blocking some of the attacks i just needed to know when he was open because after the vid it took me like less the 20 minutes to beat him when that’s how long it took to reduce his health bar to like half

For his first “super” where the black balls are next to you, on the second part where they collide on you, I go to immediately dodge after but the balls will still follow me 95% of the time!! Only once have I succeeded but every other time, I do it the same way and NOPE they follow. Ridiculous 😭

Not true, you can easily just dodge roll three times in a row. Your timing needs to be strict though.

For the rays of light that rain down at 6:50, it has to be flash step? Im guessing guard doesnt work?
Guard probably works, I just prefer flashstep because you can move towards ansem instead of waiting for the guard to connect

I found out the darkness laser pillar move in second phase can be interrupted by thunder before it comes out if you're reedy for it
The his final dm end? Or does it cycle back to the beginning, after you get to the part with the large orbs?
I'm not sure where it goes back to, but I know his dm never ends at that point
