my 1948 B John Deere still has a manure loader. took it off years ago. We had a New Idea 30 bushel wooden manure spreader. It was great. We used the model A JD to pull the manure spreader.. This vid brought me back. thanks. :-) :-) :-)
Awesome, love seeing the old equipment getting used. My grandparents had a 50 that was the main work horse until my they picked up a 4020. You got a new subscriber.
Wednesday May 20, Dad has the 50 painted like a JD 520 working on 5-20-2020. The old 45 loaders with that small 40" bucket doesn't look like it's moving much manure but boy that bucket load is heavy! My father in law farmed 200 plus acres with a JD 3020 and I struggled getting work done on 70 acres with a 4020 plus an off farm job. Dad has taken good care of his equipment!
AKWayne S The story that I’ve been told, grandpa bought it used in 1960 but my uncle wanted the newest model so he painted it to look like one! No one minded the new paint cause from the road it looked like a new tractor!
My favorite video so far, your Dad on the tractor is of course the highlight, your kids enjoying that beautiful swing set and playing outside it fantastic, but you getting stung, takes the cake. Lol 🐝
Tractor and loader works great! This old iron just keeps going and going we had a new idea trip bucket on our Farmall m 1939 had the huge oil filter can 🙂
I really enjoyed your video. I would prefer not to have the music in the background. I enjoy actually hearing the engines run. I have watched my dad load a lot of manure with a 2 cylinder John Deere, and done it myself. Between my grandpa, my dad, and me, we had 4 B's, 2 A's, a 60, a 630, and a 730. We also used some newer Case and Massey Ferguson tractors from the 1960's, 1970's and 1980's. I can almost smell the manure! Sorry about the bee. Been there, done that!
Hey , just stumbled across your video. Love the tractors, I would have guessed that 50 was a 520 . Beautiful farm also. What state are you folks? I'm watching from eastern Kansas. Take care of that bee sting, thanks for the video

Very nice running 50. Nice spreader. I like the back door lift.

Nice tractor and loader. Dad's an expert, smooth.

Dads chill. Getting it done old school. 👍🏼
Brings back memories
Definitely a skill operating a trip bucket
Take a very talented person to be able to run a loader on that tractor.
once again a really good video!;) It was really cool to watch this old 50 (with a loader!) working. that´s a rare video right there!
Loved seeing your dad out there, thought he was retired. 😁
Nick Zawada no way would he sit on the sidelines and watch! These are the golden years, he reminds me!

Nice running 50
Great video.
Way back when a farmer got one of them loaders I bet all the neighbors from miles away came to watch her work
Im not sure that that's not a 520 with a 45 trip loader. Still the old 2 cylinder poppin John runs great
Que tractor tan bonito y bien cuidado.
Es vedad...
Did my first manure loading with a Farmall SUPER MTA and a trip bucket, don't really miss it that much! Lol
Nice video,,be safe..
Just subscribed. The 50 is painted more like a 520. Had to see the back of the tractor to know. Bummer about the bee sting.

Stung!! Kuz you look like a flower. BTW, the only reason that 5o and loader work so good is because your dad is driving the 50.
I have never seen a 3020 with a bottom exhaust

Ain't that a 520?
I noticed the yellow stripe and thought that it's a 520.
Put some mud on that bee sting. Will take the pain away fast. As mud dries it draws out poison. Relief in a minute.
That is not a 45 loader. 45 loaders had the trip on the RH side. Pretty good skill though
Get some Porters Liniment salve. On line or ask at CVS small dab on sting all pain disappear s
