I'm the first 1 to click the like button and it wouldn't add it.
People can clown on Nick Wright all they want for his homerism, but until a team has shown they can be a consistent threat to the Chiefs (Bengals looked like that at first but then lost to an injured Mahomes with a depleted receiver corps), his opinions are 1000% justified. That is simply a fact.
We also have to remember than nick is a kc native and he's a fan who lives his team with all his heart. I'm Canadian from mtl and I see montrealers glaze the habs when they win as well and talk down to others teams who are actually in the playoffs the funny part is that mtl isn't even a contender. Even if nick praise kc he has every rights frl just let him have his moments I'm a kc fan and ik it wint last forever but let the fans enjoy seeing their team dominate
Yeah that game where we lost 4 of our O line men and Chris jones had a wide open lane to rush him and I don’t wanna hear about that stupid ankle of your out there you’re good!! We’ll be back this year
His opinions justified, he’s just a chiefs fan who constantly predicts the chiefs to win every game, then he ends up looking justified because of how good Reid/Mahomes are. But luck runs out eventually.
My only real issue with Nick is he's so, so, arrogant about it. He can be happy and proud his team is great without making enemies of other teams' fans.
You mean when the Bengals lost to Mahomes when Burrow had an entire backup O-line and barely lost due to a crazy foul and 50 yard field goal?
Nick and wilds been going at it lately 😂
The results of Wildes being on the BUD list for 3 straight weeks to “let the tiger out.” 😂😂
Chiefs fans not having Nick's back here is crazy. If my team had the goat at QB and countless magical moments on the way to a dynasty i would have 100% confidence as well. Enjoy yourselves! Its so rare a team achieves this kind of success
Cue the annual 'wElL nIcK iS jUsT tHreAtEnED aNd SCARED!!!!' takes from whatever team's fans declare themselves a 'threat' 😂
acting like nick doesn’t do worse???

@@vinnievinnie-sj5kr I respectfully disagree that they're stupid takes. They might be annoying takes and I have no argument there. I think there are 2 reasons you hate Nick. You hate how obnoxious his takes are and you hate that those takes keep turning out to be correct. Go Chiefs
Both Lamar and Joe Burrows have missed the ends of 2 seasons each in that 5 year span. Don't assume The Chiefs would've won 5 Superbowls. They won what they earned.
Nick there is always competition. No one knows what will happen. As a Chiefs fan a threepeat would be amazing but the eggs have not been laid and counting chicken before they hatch is a no no!
Agreed. There's a reason no team has never even made the SB the year after winning two straight. It's hard

Just imagine Burrow with the kind of offensive lines that Mahomes has played behind for pretty much his whole career!?! I mean they’re 1-1 in AFC Championship games and 3-1 in the regular season. I’m not sure that I can follow the narrative set by Nick?
Burrow got his oline beefed up this off-season so we'll see
Should have been the Texans. Last year it was the Lions because everyone knew they were an up-and-coming contender. The Texans are ascending, would have been great to see them get the same exposure the Lions got.
The NFL is coddling Stroud. They are afraid of him laying an egg under the bright lights of Arrowhead and national TV.
Texans barely beat the colts on the last game of the season in a win or go home game, then the Texans get blown out vs the ravens in a game that was never close. Ravens then play KC and barely score anything & lose a close one. KC played the Bills the week before, Buffalo while being completely injured on defense scores the most on them of any team and barely loses. THOSE are the elite teams. They make up for injuries & fight hard. The Texans aren’t close yet, not now & not last year. No elite team gets rolled over like that.
@@AlucardMM You are so dramatic lol. Texans were a team full.of rookies and a 2nd year guys, with a rookie head Coach.. not to mention missing their star in Tank Dell for the end of the season( did all that damage with Nico Collins and a bunch of nobodies) now they have added Stefon Diggs and a returning Tank Dell... also added to their already really good defense..plus Stroud gets another year of development. Texans are here to stay, I know you don't like it mr Anime profile pic. How about you use context next time for your arguments.
@@povertyspec9651 Lol 1 great year is all it took for CJ Stroud to get haters... Even if CJ had a bad game it wouldn't mean anything.. because he's had 15 plus great ones already. So him underperforming in a regular season game vs the defending champs wouldn't mean anything. Burrow threw 3 interceptions vs Chiefs in AFC Championship game..does that mean Burrow sucks?
@@persistentlypathetic6820 until they actually win big in the playoffs your argument is pointless. Pure speculation. You should be a sports writer
Man I remember when the Chiefs had a playoff game where they never punted and lost. Or when they put up 41 points without their best player, and still lost. Or lost another playoff game when the opposing QB threw a pass TO HIMSELF and caught it for the win. Gone are the days where the Chiefs score nothing but TDs but lose to a team who only scored FIELD GOALS. Gotta love sitting through TV blackouts, 2-14, 4-12 seasons. Have you ever watched a drive where the opposing team starts on their own 20, gain less than 20 yards of *total* offense and still score a touchdown on your favorite team?
IDC what anyone has to say or think about the Chiefs, and I could not give a single rip who is offended by it or is mad that their team got sent home. I love the fact that the Chiefs are the talk of the town and are no longer the laughing stock of the NFL. I have a small feeling of pride when I hear Nick talk about the Chiefs, and reading people's comments. I love it all. Every time I see someone crying about Nick's well-deserved homerism I think an entire year is added to my life, at least it *feels* that way.
Being a Chiefs fan has been so weird, because as a kid, teen, and young adult, I was clowned for supporting the hometown team. Now, I'm accused of bandwagoning and it couldn't be more refreshing. I wish I still had my Priest Holmes jersey, but I rock my Jamaal Charles from time to time. The next one I want is definitely a Patrick Mahomes jersey, but I want the one where he still went by Mahomes II. It's extremely rare now.
well said agree all the way with your statement. These are just a bunch of whining little crybabies who if the shoe was on their foot it would be different
That’s a preseason jersey you’re looking for in his rookie year because he’s never started a regular season games with “Mahomes II” unless you mean a TTU jersey
I grew up watching the chiefs, we deserve this glory for all the reasons you mentioned. Let the hater taste the salt.
I remember working at a sports bar and had one small TV in a corner with the game on with no sound
Yeah I mean that's cool and all but as a lifelong miserable Bills fan who has watched my team lose my entire life, you could like i dont know just throw us one in the playoffs just one time lmfaoooo. I've never seen a more HOF level QB like Josh Allen get undermined at the last second by Mahomes every year just to have everyone think Allen sucks over a fake narrative that he doesn't show up lol If Patrick Mahomes didn't exist the Bills could very well be in 3 of the last 5 super bowls and Allen is on a HOF path and instead Mahomes sends him home every year and he has nothing to show for it lol
As a KC fan it's embarrassing Nick says they have no competition because I don't agree with him at all. KC BARELY won the last two AFC Championships and BARELY won the last two Superbowls. I'm super glad they won, but the ball won't always bounce their way. GO CHIEFS!
As a Chiefs fan , I agree it will not be easy. The North will be very tough to beat , the South with the Texans , and last I checked my boys lost to the Colts. What I am getting at is that a three peat will be very hard. Every year teams are getting better. Broncos , Raiders, and Chargers had a decent off-season and draft. I am hoping for a injury free season and great production. This year will be very interesting .
It’s so easy when your team wins to just trick yourself into thinking the games couldn’t have gone any other way
The Chiefs almost always play a close game, but they continue winning at some point these "barely"s just don't matter anymore. Mahomes finds a way. Until another team proves to be a consistent foil, Nick's take is valid. This is especially true when no one could defeat the WORST Chiefs team of the Mahomes era last postseason.
Mahomes and the Chiefs are a great dynasty but man their fans talk like they are unbeatable juggernaut. You were a 1st down away from losing the Superbowl....you were a McDuffie finger tip away from a game losing touchdown to Brandon Aiyuk
I understand Chiefs have won 3 titles but y'all had to scratch and claw to barely escape with victory each time..y'all are very beatable. But it's gonna take tons of discipline to do it.
@@advancedstupidity5459 This is such a dumb argument, the patriots never had a “consistent foil”, neither did the Niners dynasty, cowboys dynasty or Steelers dynasty, that doesn’t mean they are going to win every superbowl every year until they retire.
Great teams trick you into thinking sports is pre destined and good players will just “find a way to win” no matter what, that’s not how reality works though. There have been plenty of dynasties and/or great players who just get outplayed or catch a bad break. Mahomes could lose to a walk off touchdown without even getting the ball back, he could get injured, his defense could give up a Hail Mary, even if he was some perfect superhuman, not everything is in his control.
Let’s be real, the 49ers, Texans, Ravens, and maybe the Lions are the only teams that likely come even close to beating KC this season
No that's not real. Remember that they got beat by the lowly Raiders. What was that?
@@StillBolted A fluke 😂

In the last two playoffs every game but one has been a 1 possession game and you can easily see the other team winning each of the last 3 games this year but for some things you wouldnt normally count on (Diggs dropping the pass of the year aling with another drop earlier in the qtr, Ravens overthinking and throwing too much plus a crazy EZ turnover, a missed XP or a fluke achilles twar in the SB) Nick wouldnt have this opinion if he wasnt a Chiefs fan, its so dumb. Hed point all that stuff out with any other team.
That is an awful lot of what-ifs lmao, because if it werent those things, it would be some other reason you point out. Hindsight is always 20-20 my guy 🤣
The Chiefs overcame everything(Injuries, bad luck, bad calls, etc, etc) no excuses, just make it happen and win. Other teams don't, that is the difference.
Is it just me that thought the game opener is an AFC-NFC game?
I don't think the Eagles are making it.
It has been the previous two years, but the four years before that were all inter-conference. I don't think there's a rule, it's just defending champs vs whoever the NFL thinks would be a good matchup.
Thanks!
Winning by 1 score isn't a whoppin! It's a win, but a whoppin is very different.
Let's be even more honest: if not for a ticky tac offsides penalty and that aberrant 1/2 against the Bengals, Mahomes & The Chiefs would have won 6 straight AFC titles.
And 5 super bowls. Maybe 6 if 3 tds aren't dropped against the Bucs.
I have to agree. They have truly been dominant in the playoffs since the Mahomes' era. The only team that laid waste to them was the Bucs, and that was due to their offensive line being depleted.
@@jaypeoples3044 and 3 dropped TDs
True, but couple plays here or there and the Pats are 5 time champs from 2014-18...

Yeah but Burrow also sent him home, so it's not going to affect them like it might other AFC teams.
To say there’s no threat is delusional. The Chiefs like most other teams have to take their opponents seriously and there are teams that can beat them.
Henry was the piece we were missing last year. I think if we made that mid season trade with the Titans, you're looking at Baltimore with their 3rd ring. And I'm betting on them to take it all the way this year!
Lov It When Wildes Checks Nick, On Nick's Favorites!! Nick starts stuttering, and backpedaling really quick
Nick talks like he is still trying to convince himself. Too much fun to watch these guys. Just fans with fans.
Nick! You blew it! If not for the strangest half and an offsides penalty the Chiefs go to 6 in a row and are champs 5 of the past 6 years. They would have smoked the Rams in the 2 they didn't make.
The Chief won only because the Ravens did not play their game knowing the Chiefs could not stop the number one running game. As for me. I believe it was fixed from the beginning so the Chief could go to Las Vegas on big betting situations.
Poor ravens have to start with us??? That's cruel.
From what ive seen week 1 chiefs tend to be vulnerable... If the lions whp are significantly weaker than the ravens could beat them weak 1 a stronger ravens should be able to do good..
You ain’t on the team bro

"Here's the facts..."
I will go back to the 1980's and also later. John Riggins gained more yards rushing in his 30's than in his 20's. Adrian Peterson rushed for over 1,000 yards when he was 33 and had the longest run of his career that season. There are other greats to gain over 1,000 yards in their thirties including Frank Gore, Emmitt Smith, Walter Payton and Curtis martin. Raheem Mostert did it last season.

I’ve been saying this since 2020 Kelce makes that offense go. Just him being out there, doesn’t need to be effective.

Wilds that's an unfair argument, let's not forget they change the rules for overtime for Josh Allen when the exact same thing happened to KC when the Patriots beat them on a walk off in overtime when Mahomes didn't get to touch the ball.

Can we stop talking like Brady was better than Mahomes that game, Mahomes just didn’t get the ball back
Refs.
As always.
Literally his ENTIRE career.
A lot of teams can say that against Mahomes too. How many teams have left with the lead only for Mahomes to bs into a w and the QB that did his job don't get the ball back.
@@ne0n1nja247 I’m only talking about QBs, I’m just pushing back against the narrative that “Tom Brady” is the Mahomes killer bc in one game he didn’t get the ball back and in another game he LITERALLY had 4 out of 5 lineman out and was running for his life. Nick Wright is Roman Reigns...... one day.....one day
Pretty sure he’s 0-2 against Indy
'no competition' is very arrogant for beating the Bills, in the playoffs, by 3 when the Bills had 0 starting linemen and had to call AJ Klein up from vacation
Even though i agree with Nicks overall point, Wildes was correct that Nick was gaslighting him about the patriots
Nick just made the goat case for Andy. Mahomes is going to win 10 Sbs. But Andy deserves a lot of credit.
Dude, it's not 1 on 1, it's football. KC defense is the reason they won the 2024 Super Bowl game. They could've been down too much for Mahommes to do anything, without that "D". Nick, get P. Mahommes c&b outta your mouth so you can see.
And if Dee Ford didn't line up offsides the chiefs would've beaten the Patriots and Tom Brady.
Any given Sunday. Nobody wins every game. Nobody wins forever. That's why they still play the games.
I am part of the audience, and I also did not understand Nick’s math along with Wildes. I am also a patriots fan, so maybe that’s why we both got hung up on it.
Harbaugh and the Chargers about to sweep em
So Nick’s 2 Super Bowl picks are his home team and the team that is based in the city he started his career in
If Lawrence doesn't get past round 1 of the playoffs this year, then Nick seriously needs to accept that he's just barely above being mid.
So it justin Herbert mid? Is tua mid? Cuz tua is above average QB/star boy is a baller
@@RobertJohnson-zk1ye I'm talking about Trevor Lawrence..
Are we saying the first three time?!
So what we are saying here is if Mahomes beats you 1 time then your team has no chance against him? Bengals won the first 3 burrow out played him in Al 3 of those games. At that point they were considered a rival and a threat by Nick. Mahomes beats them 1 time with Chris jones destroying 3 backup lineman the entire game and now the bengals just have no shot. Also for context because chiefs fans act as if Mahomes was throwing to water jugs. They still had Kelce and Mvs literally their top 2 targets. Mahomes ankle was so “injured” that he was able to take off and outrun nfl players on it. Chiefs were down their best corner the bengals were down their best corner. Boyd left the game in the first quarter and didn’t return. Stop pretending like the chiefs played a fully healthy bengals and the chiefs were just decimated by injury, yet still won: the bengals were actually the more injured team and it came down to a last second field goal. If they play again it will come down to the wire again.
Our backup literally almost beat mahomes n the chiefs......this season cant come soon enough
I love how when other people twist their takes to make a point are intellectually dishonest, but when Nick does it-you just don't understand my take. Houston isn't the same HOU the Chiefs bounced before and using that take for the purpose "no rivals bcs KC beat everyone in years prior" is truly intellectually dishonest. and Wildes added to that with the Brady-Patriots argument
So basically we don’t need to have a AFC Championship game. Just give it to KC. Got it 😂😂😂
Taylor probably won’t boost the TV ratings as much this year so that should help the rest of the league 😌
