Hi John, how is your Klattermusen Brede 2.0 jacket holding up? Would you recommend it and does it still hold its durability? I am in two minds between the Brede 2.0 and a Gore-tex pro. Any advice would be appreciated.
Sorry not to have got back to you quicker. In terms of durability I'd say the Brede 2 is as close to indestructible as a jacket can get. I normally get about 4 years out of a Paramo I expect to get at least 10 out of the Brede. At that rate it justifies the cost. I've never used a Gore-tex pro, so can't compare. I don't think you'll be disappointed by the Klattermusen.
@@Zeroclimber Thanks very much John your word means a lot. Klattermusen is a lot more sustainably produced than others, their team focuses massively on sustainable materials. To develop a jacket that is highly durable as well as being a blue design approved fabric. Is a massive achievement.
It's difficult to dry and you are very unlikely to get it down dry in Highlands in winter. I live in a flat so open it out in a spare bedroom. Takes about 3 days to dry.
@@Zeroclimber being from the westcoast of Scotland you don't get many dry day's in a row, probably put it over the banister in the house or try and fit it in the garage, just one more question, I've got the outbacker stove and my flue pipe will protrude 23 inches from the top of the tent, will this be enough clearance to allow sparks not to be a problem..
@@marleymac370 60cm is the most I've seen suggested by a stove manufacturer, make sure you have a mesh style spark arrester too. Poor quality or damp wood will give you sooty spots on the tent. Nikwax Tent & Gear Solar Wash is Recommended by Tentipi for cleaning.
Super tent👍 seen a few hot tent films but this one is epic 🙏🏼 wheeling the kit to the pitch 👍🙏🏼 enjoyed best wishes Simon 👍🙏🏼
Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it hoping to get out again soon when the weather calms down a little.
@@Zeroclimber totally agree there roll on the longer nights best wishes Simon 👍

@@forwhoyou8651 That's a very important point. Durable clothing that is produced in a way that reduces its impact on the environment is the way to go.
Warning: This is what you HAVE to do if you own a Tentipi - just random camping for no other reason than that the weather is bad.
Very true. Camping in bad weather is good for the soul. I also live in the Highlands. if I waited for good weather I'd never go anywhere.
@@Zeroclimber Good point!
How do you dry your tent out before storing, ive just got the safir 9, cheers.

@@Proadventure Do you know if there are any instruction videos on how to clean a tent?
@@Zeroclimber probably, but I just follow the instructions on the Nikwax products. Pete
