I listened this first without video since I went through the whole mixtape first when it came out. My heart was pounding in my chest in the end and I don't think I was able to hear any of the lyrics from rest of the project after this on that first listen. You are right you don't need the video to have the picture in your head to see what is going on. And I'm going to admit that I haven't seen the video yet. I'm too chicken to watch it lol. My heart is pounding just listening it still every time I hear this. Saw NF insta live by the way and he told there that this is not true story. It is something that they plotted out with Tommee in studio. He also said that Tommee did a lot of work with the mixing since he is going from whispering to yelling on the tape plus all the special effects. Would be interesting to hear T open the process from this with what he did. Crazy track. Oh and NF was the first robber by the way.
I always find it so fascinating how, not only is this basically a fully fleshed out movie in 5 minutes.. but nate also manages to pull a m night shyamalan better than he ever could with his millllllions of budget movies, but even cooler, how within 2 minutes, he can make you care so much about a character youve only JUST introduced to, and have such instinctual care for her well being.... that shiiiiiiiii when she begins running at him.. makes your heart stop.. eyes glued. Amazing movie, honestly. One track musical. ☁️☁️
it's a long stretch, but i feel like the robbers/ the boyfriend might've specifically asked for cigarettes for her, since it's probably more expensive stuff behind the counter that they could've asked for, and the fact she mentioned she was going there for cigarettes (NF doesn't say words for no reason)
As a smoker my thought was great he's taking all the cigarettes and she won't be able to get any, that really will top off a shitty day. Even when I stopped smoking for months I still had some in my car just in case I had a particularly bad day. Then one day I got into a huge wreck, my fault, the guy I hit sat and smoked those glove box cigarettes until the police and ambulance came
Aye man great reaction. As far as the journey goes, Lost feels like the only one thats part of it, maybe Drifting, but you could def listen to it now (just remember to go back after). I think you should def react to Trust and maybe even Layers or Drifting. the whole mixtape is straight fire man
This video was a whole ass movie lol Would love u to do each single but if u don’t plan on that then pls at least do “Trust” (the Tech n9ne ft) and “Layers”...the cadence/flow switch ups is 🤯!!!!
And the mixed tape doesn't tie into the story. Its him trying some new things for sure the album coming is gonna be crazy. You got to do all the songs have you ever thought of doing live reactions you could do them all in one sitting there's only 4 or five left. And we could all chat in-between songs. That would be fun I think.

And to be honest I haven’t gone back into the stuff I know, even Paid My Dues which I love. Have you even listened to that yet? If not.... get to it sir
